Silver will do a Stern and award the Knicks the 1st pick like it was in 1985.

The Wolves absolutely stole this from the Knicks. 12 straight losses to end the season? LMAO, they were sitting healthy Kevin Martin.

I'll be furious if the Knicks don't get a top 3 pick.

Brain-Dead Dolan rehires Isiah Thomas - I swear, Isiah must have pictures of Dolan with a goat;

Hey, at least it's WNBA rightfully where he belongs.

A shame for the Liberty, a lucky break for Knicks fans. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be a way to slowly bring him back into the fold of the Knicks.

smh that's Dolan's 3rd time hiring Thomas, who is literally a piece of shit as a human being.

Yeah Jeff it's a top 3 pick or bust for me too mate.

In regards to Thomas I think going to the wnba could be a test for Isiah to see how he handles himself there but it could also be just the fact that Dolan does love him but knows that there is no way he could bring him back to the knicks so is just throwing him a bone.

Phil Jackson would never have Isiah in office of any kind while he is there.

My worst nightmare, Andrew - if Phil flops, you-know-who will be waiting in the wings;

I'd forgotten about the sexual harassment suit. And now here he is, the president of a women's professional basketball team. What a PR move.

Hey maybe the knicks will be the first team in nba history to attempt to trade a first round draft pick to a wnba team!

Jim Dolan: Isiah Thomas can build a winner
So Isiah left the door open for an eventual return to the Knicks it seems. How are Knicks fans coping with this news, I wouldn't have an idea.

Experience helps and you learn more from the mistakes. Perhaps, Isiah's a changed man after all these years. I personally think it'd be fun to see him back in the Knicks management. xD

Well, in Dolan's defense, Thomas did put together those Knicks teams that won 60 games year after year, and a couple of championships along the way. The man's record in the front office is unmatched!

Clueless. Absolutely clueless.

If Phil doesn't get it done and decides to leave, this franchise is finished.

In all my years watching the knicks I can safely day that the franchise will never die because the Garden sells out no matter what crap is out there playing on court and there will always be some smuck in front office that gives us just enough hope to keep us faithful tuned in and supporting the orange and blue.

Lets see how he drafts and spends the cap space. I've witnessed a glory seeking gm destroy a franchise for several years despite having several top picks and lots of cap spac...the next gm comes in and drafts a supposed franchise player who throws his career away on a motorcycle injury, selects Aldridge only to trade him for tyrus friggin thomas, and the team eventually bounced back

But they'll never win another title as long as Brain-Dead Dolan is in charge.

Amen brother.

Dolan will forever mess and interfere with the running of the team and it will continue to hurt us.

I know he has being relatively quite this season but it's not like it would mattered if he had but I was pissed last year like many years before but when he stopped that Kyle Lowry trade from going through that I feel would of really helped us but our love for Shump and Timmy got in the way of it.

SEVEN ex-Knicks are in the conference finals, and reportedly Phil Jackson is unhappy that Brain-Dead Dolan brought back Train-Wreck Thomas to MSG. The Circus goes on........

Maybe Jackson just took the job to line his pockets. I think he'll leave sooner or later and Thomas will be back calling the shots while Jackson will be richer and move on.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue May 19, 2015 1:20 am

Well he hasn't really impressed me so far as GM if I am honest I mean the Tyson Chandler trade was a bust for us, he said he wouldn't sign resign Melo for the max buy yet he did pretty much that granted that he got bailed out by increased salary cap next year but I think he made the wrong choice in Dereck Fisher.

I think this summer is key for Phil

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue May 19, 2015 11:11 am

One has to imagine it's pretty tough for Jackson right now. This is the first time he's really had to deal with high profile failure in his NBA career. Sure, he lost a couple of NBA Finals series with the Lakers, and they got thrashed in the last series he coached, but he's had plenty of success that outweigh those losses, and let's face it: if you lose in the NBA Finals, you've still had a pretty good season, better than 28 other teams.

So far though, nothing's gone right for him in New York. While it's hard to knock Jax with all the success he's had, there's always been that suggestion that he arrived on teams that were ready built for success, and that while he may have surpassed Red Auerbach's nine titles, he never constructed championship teams like Red did. Obviously, Auerbach had the benefit of doing that in the earlier days of the league, before free agency really existed and when there was no salary cap to deal with. All the same, it's a feather in Red's cap that Jackson lacks, and so far, Jax seems to have made several missteps.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

I think sometimes things have to get worst before they get better which is what I have being telling myself all season.

I won't lie I don't think the knicks should try solely to run just the triangle offence, it was great through the 90's trust me but with its success came a million other teams learning it and learning how to stop it which I saw first hand this year it made it very hard get right when he defence is well coached on every passing option so he play broke down and we had 5 guys not knowing what to do.

I think we need a modern day version of it that has options to work into other plays on the fly.

Isiah Thomas doesn't reject idea of eventual return to NBA

Perhaps more importantly, Dolan certainly doesn't seem to be ruling it out.

If that happens, Andrew, I'm officially done with the Knicks. I'm serious. So sick and tired of this owner constantly shitting on the fan base.
