The loss was still fresh when Anthony went about describing the team’s steaming husk of a season.
“It’s embarrassing,” he said. “Teams win and teams lose, night in and night out, but just the way that we’re not approaching games from that standpoint with a winning attitude, with a winning mentality — it’s just not happening. I know I’m rambling now, but it’s frustrating. I don’t like to be embarrassed like that.”
The post-mortem featured the usual questions: How could they give up so many uncontested layups? How could they look so unprepared?
“At this point, there’s really no answers for it,” Anthony said.
“I don’t have the answers for it,” Tyson Chandler said.
“I wish I had the answers,” J. R. Smith said, “but I don’t.”
