i doubt it hurts as bad as letting fisher beat you, that one is still stinging me

Best game of the series. Too bad Ndrew had to miss it.
Look how pumped up the Celtics' benches are. Every shot they make, every foul they commit, they'll just jump all over the court, scream, dance... nutcases. You gotta love this series.

Lakers' bench is one of the league's worst without Odom. Farmar, Brown, and Vujacic have to make some sort of impact on either side of the ball, today they were totally invisible. I was also kind of surprised we didn't see a Walton sighting with their offense becoming "let's stand around and watch Kobe go 1-on-5" throughout the fourth quarter.
Celtics' bench was awesome. I hate Glen Davis, but he's turned into a very serviceable player off the bench, similar to what JJ Redick has carved out for himself in Orlando.
But I still hate him. I don't even think I could bring myself to like him if he were a Piston

How could you hate Big Baby? He's such a hilarious, happy-go-lucky guy!

Bynum being not on the floor really hurts the Lakers, the Celtics got a lot of offensive rebounds. Like Lamrock said Big Baby is now one of my favorite players and I'm a Lakers fan.

This is true. I just have always hated that he has an alpha-dog mentality in the body of a 7th man. He was
the man at LSU in college and he's never lost that swagger of thinking he's one of the best on the court which, in a way, I can totally respect. At the same time, I sometimes think when he's drooling all over the court after his little scoring bursts that he thinks to himself "Goddamn, I'm better than Garnett, I should be starting on this team!"
My favorite Glen Davis moment is when KG made him cry

Glen Davis was awesome tonight. I face-palmed when his saliva was hanging all over his mouth though.
That gif could get really disturbing if you look at it for a while.

Can't really say that the game is great since I only saw the 4th quarter.

But I think the bench buys won it for Boston.
And that call when Pierce went through that drive and Kobe popped in to take the charge... I think that was a charge.

Bynum's health looks like it could decide this entire series. Lakers were useless without him out there.

Can't comment on the game since I'm out of town and couldn't watch it, but I'll catch it at some point when I get home. Glad to see it's going at least six though.

I see why they call him big baby. *Insert dribbling joke*

Kill Kobe. Nothing.

even nate robinson played well

Loved the punch on the ref from Pierce.

Nothing wrong with that - it's what you want in a player, no matter what his role is. I wish Eddy Curry had Big Baby's heart, desire & determination.

to be fair curry was never surrounded by players like davis is. greatness breeds greatness

True. Just ask Kwame "faggot" Brown.

I don't even think that would help. In college, Big Baby played with a chip on his shoulder. Curry doesn't have that nastiness/toughness in him.

I didn't see this, but I heard Ray Allen read the riot act to Nate Robinson after that dumbass taunting foul. Great job by Ray. Immaturity is Nate's biggest problem. That's why all his coaches get tired of his act. He could be a solid bench player if he concentrated on his game and stopped the nonsense.

Yep, he's a lot better because of his teammates. Not to take away from the vast improvement he's made over the last four years, but he's a high volume shooter on a bad team imo.
But yeah
jeffx, totally can't hate on him for his attitude, that's THE reason he's gotten to be the player he is today. I've just never been a fan of how he carries himself on the court. I think Sean Singletary tweeted last night that the Celtics' bench trio of Sheed, lil' Nate, and Davis is the most hood bench in the NBA. I don't have a problem with emotion, but there's positive emotion and negative emotion.
As JVG said last night, "The Celtics' bench is emotionally drunk out there."

Yeah, Celtics bench gave a stop to Kobe! Yes!

man kobe was pissing me off. man was on fire. seemed to have run out of steam though. maybe we should start calling him old
Sat Jun 12, 2010 5:43 am
The Celtics(especially Davis) took an advantage of missing Andrew Bynum's presence. It's somewhat obvious any one of the Celtics' bigs can have a great night if they only have to deal with Gasol and Odom under the rim.
