It showed that missing JR Smith hurts us quite badly. Hopefully with the birth of Anthony's first child this week it will inspire him to play better. Something like that can really fuel someone.

11 out of 28, good lord. I wonder how one could justify hogging the ball like that while not even being the best scorer on the team... :shake:

Sun Mar 04, 2007 2:17 am

Carmelo needs to stop taking contested jumpers and 3 point shots. If he drives to the rim more, he'll be over 50% field goal guaranteed.

Main thing for denver is to play some defense...

Yeah Anthony is a ball hog, and he doesnt realize it when he's missing a lot, but being league leader in scoring, he can do that....

Thu Mar 08, 2007 2:59 pm

I like Karl's tactic of benching Anthony, i think it will make him wake up and see that he is hogging the ball and in event causing us to lose games. We got Golden State right now and i really think we can win this game if Iverson can get everyone involved.

Nene has been pleasing as of late and his contract value looks a bit brighter than before.

Thu Mar 08, 2007 4:09 pm

Wow lost by 14...
Why do the nuggets always get off to a great start then start taking jumpers and stop defense? Iverson was only one making shots, rest shooting threes...

Fri Mar 09, 2007 8:24 am

ryan6liu, thats an easy question, they're lazy. Iverson wasn't hitting the shots in the second half, and yeah, DerMarr, Kleiza and Blake all shooting 3's, only if they shot them like Nash, we would've won.

Fri Mar 09, 2007 12:11 pm

Whats with all the threes? this team makes no sense. We need Smith back because he can actually hit a three.

Sat Mar 10, 2007 3:11 pm

nothing like a game against the Nuggets to jack up the W total, hahaha.

Mon Mar 12, 2007 7:13 am

Linas Kleiza is on fijah!

Mon Mar 12, 2007 9:00 am

Good Win, we finally snap that losing streak at Arco, where we couldn't win for ten years...sad...Maybe this will boost our confidence a lot, and we can get on a winning streak, and Lakers aren't that far up ahead. Big game from Kleiza, Man of the match 4 sure.

Mon Mar 12, 2007 9:28 am

Not we. They. We includes you as the team. You are not part of the team.

Jeez.

Mon Mar 12, 2007 10:27 am

Good win. Hope to see some more in the future. The scorecard should look like it did tonight basically every night, a good balance attack of scoring plus some good defence (Camby with 4 blocks and Iverson with 4 steals).

I just hope now that Denver can go on a run and at least finish with a record of 45 - 37. or somewhere close to that.

Mon Mar 12, 2007 5:43 pm

Ron Artest returns and Kings lose.....coincidence? i think not.

Tue Mar 13, 2007 1:36 am

^I don't know. Did you watch the game because I thought Artest played pretty well and it didn't look like the Kings would have been better off without him.

Anyways, it's good to see that Iverson is quite happy now.

I'm gonna sign up as a ball boy to be part of the team :)

Anyways, playing portland, have to win. Then big game vs Lakers, if we win we tie Lakers for 6th place.

Fri Mar 16, 2007 9:01 am

Big game on TNT today vs Lakers, if we win we tie them for 6th place...AI and Melo have to bring out their "killa duo" or Kobe and Odom will

Fri Mar 16, 2007 3:25 pm

6th seed baby! Kleiza career high 29? 3 in a row!

Fri Mar 16, 2007 5:04 pm

Wow, blowout victory!!!!! Kleiza is red hot right now, what a great spark off the bench, this means once JR is healthy he can start and we will have a nice balanced attack. 6th seed is good, we might avoid Dallas or the Suns in the first round.

I'd prefer to play Phoenix, than San Antonio. We do not match up well against the Spurs...

YESSS!!! 113-86, that's got to be close to our biggest win of the season; We had a big one against Golden State if i remember correctly.
Anyway, i was lucky enough to catch this game on TV :D
Great game for any Nuggets fan, we didn't play a bad quarter and everything clicked, except possibly AI who struggled from the floor, but made it up with his season high 13 assists. Anyway...
KLEIZA!!!!!!
OMG! What a beast! He could not be put out! 10/13 Shooting and 5/6 3's! A new career high that's the 2nd time this week.
Also im really happy we played GOOD  defense! On Several occasions they couldn't find a shot and ended up throwing up airballs, bricks and shot clock violations. Carmelo played well too, shooting a much better FG% and would've been better had he not taken 2 mid court buzzer beaters, ah well.... He attacked the ring constantly and blew past Lamar every time, occasionally pulling up and knocking down contested jumpers, he got hot like everyone in the team did, in the 3rd quater when we outscored them 36-21, after being all square at half time.
I Swear we had at least 10 alley oops and Carmelo had 3-5, but 1 of the reffs made a dodgy decision and called one off :x
All in all Great win and hopefully it carries on to our next game against the Suns.

Fri Mar 16, 2007 8:18 pm

Kleiza is showing incredible stuff right now, fine show.

Sat Mar 17, 2007 9:50 am

I think if we play the Suns we might give them a run but we wont get past them. The only teams i dont wanna play are Dallas and Houston and maybe the Spurs although i think we would have a shot at beating them.

Im looking forward to next season more than anything, i cant wait for the 2008 season in general, its gonna be a good year not only for Denver but the whole league.

I thought that was a weird call too, such plays are usually a continuation. Then again, continuation calls in the NBA are somewhat inconsistent at times in my opinion, sometimes being very generous to the point of allowing players to take a couple of dribbles and attempt a layup after the whistle blows while at other times being called very tightly.

Sat Mar 17, 2007 11:45 am

Nuggets finally put up a good game in the second half and made it a blowout. KLEIZA is a nightmare for all Cali teams, first we snap the losing streak in Sac-town, then Portland game, almost lost that one, now Lakers game. Good confidence booster, we got to pick up some wins and Lakers to keep losing, and we'll face Spurs in 1st round.

Scotty, why would you rather play Suns, we got no D. They will rip Denver apart, because they have better offense then us, Id rather play Spurs, since Nuggets are offensive minded team, it will be a better match up.

Sun Mar 18, 2007 3:34 am

^Probably because it'd be a whole lot tougher scoring against San Antonio than defending the Suns. Oh, and because the Spurs are better than the Suns.
