The Nets don't have the cap space to make a more significant move in free agency and there aren't a lot of quality players left, so I'd say "beggars can't be choosers" is a fitting turn of phrase. They're certainly not alone in that respect, you could say that of quite a few teams at the moment.

how in the world dwill got here? and they never even begged dwill to stay(maybe dallas), that's why crash, JJ were the first ones to be resigned/traded to have that star calliber type of team in their 1st season. he had his options and is certainly mature enough to decide for himself. still surprised huh? really, it's not that easy to accept on what they've become. rather than signing a heartless jeff green or overpaying a back-up center from the bulls to be your starting C, or stick to their 12-70 rooster team, they've manage to resign their star's, and add another to their core players. they have the owner who's willing to spend, and i believe BK spent theirs on good quality proven players this off season, only the lakers top's their effort this year actually..

i don't see them as the beggars here, i know they are in need of a C/PF, but there are a lot of other options for them. you can't beg for a player to be your 3rd/4th string C/PF off the bench. they just gave him a chance to play, and with all the hype brooklyn having this season, and the opportunity to redeem yourself i think he's made the right choice. maybe if this team was still the NJ NETS, they would, but things have changed now..
