Bad move? It's not a huge contract nor a particularly lengthy one and he wasn't too bad for the Wizards last year. It's by no means a great move, but still doesn't strike me as a particularly bad one.

He still seems a little bit overpaid, but I don't get how he was shaping up a draft bust. Lamrock is just too extreme on his evaluations.

How was he a bust? I mean sure he wasnt a ZOMG gonna change the face of the NBA 4th pick but he was a solid guard in LAC before blowing out his knee. I mean maybe he didnt deserve to be a starter: but a good sixth or seventh man is always good to have.

Josh Powell will join the Hawks, Arroyo joins Miami.

T-Mac's short list : Bulls, Heat, Lakers, Clippers. So three teams with high Playoff hopes, 2 of them the biggest contenders, and the Clippers. I guess the Clippers can offer him the most money.

Lamrock likes draft busts, why do you think he had an avatar of the 'Kandi Man?

Livingston was absolutely turrible in his first two seasons, posting offensive ratings in the low 90's. By his third season, he was starting to shape up into a mediocre point guard when all hopes off him ever becoming a below average starter were destroyed with his leg. Not what you expect with the #4 pick.

If the Bobcats do decide to start him, he'll probably only be the second worst starting PG in the league, thanks to Jonny Flynn.

Flynn may not start, Kahn says.

There may be hope for 20 wins after all!

As much hope as Seattle getting their team back again.

With much less fanfare and a smaller contract on offer this time around.

Kurt Thomas goes to Chicago..

Where did you hear that? Would like to see it happen but haven't seen it reported anywhere.

Meanwhile, Lakers sign Theo Ratliff. Solid pick-up, it's not like he'll be called upon to player starter minutes...unless/until Bynum goes down again. Preferable to DJ Mbenga, even at this stage of his career.

Decent move, adds some depth they certainly needed after Miller's departure.

Thanks. Good to see that come to fruition.

Damn, Kurt Thomas is still around? Not a bad signing though. As evidenced by Juwan Howard's run with the Blazers this last season, veteran bigs can come in handy, even if they are on the wrong side of 35.

Re: 2010 Free Agency Discussion Thread

Kurt Thomas is a solid addition. Even being 35,he will provide quality minutes and along with Asik ,will give Noah valuable breathing minutes. He may not be that good on shooting like miller was,but he seems pretty good on the paint, which is his main duty. It seems that the Bulls are making swift moves. They are the team which is most strengthen this preseason.

Re: 2010 Free Agency Discussion Thread

He's lousy in the paint, his best shot is the 15 footer.

Re: 2010 Free Agency Discussion Thread

Fri Jul 23, 2010 6:58 pm

And he's actually 37, and will be 38 once the season starts.

38? As i said the age won't count and he has experience as well

It should be Washburn. At least Kandi Man had 8.9 pts and 7.9 rebs in his rookie season. Washburn: 3.8 pts and 2.9 rebs in his rookie season.
