2-1 Heeeeeeeat.... great defense in the last seconds..
Mon Jun 06, 2011 12:48 pm
Too bad the Mavericks don't have a go-to-guy with five, hell any, rings they can go to for a final shot.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 12:54 pm
& LeBron disappeared in second Half, specially in 4th

Great win by Miami. The refs weren't so Heat friendly either. Dallas getting to the line almost cost the Heat the game. D Wade singlehandedly carried the Heat on his back. Miami shouldn't keep relying on Wade and Bron to bail them out on Isos like that. Still don't understand why they don't run more pick n rolls with Bosh at the end of games.

Heat got this one. (.)

The more Jeff Van Gundy talks up Stan Van Gundy's chances in a free throw contest against Dirk Nowitzki, the more I want to see it happen at some point. Kind of like the Barkley/Bavetta footrace at the All-Star Weekend a few years back.

Excellent D from Haslem on that last possession.

I agree. He didn't take the bait and kept his feet right on the ground. I bet Dirk was going for the foul, because he's just unreal at the line. When Haslem didn't bite, Dirk had to do his thing from a bit farther out than he's used to and just rimmed it. By the way, who blocked Chandler's tip-in attempt? I swear that was still in time.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 5:07 pm
LeBron. It wasn't a block, they both went for it but LeBron swatted it back out before Chandler touched it.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 5:52 pm
Haslem's defense wasn't as good as you would think on that final possession. The best defender in that situation for the Heat was the shotclock. Give Dirk three more ticks on the clock and he goes all the way to the rack. He already had the steps, but had no time and decided to go for the pull up.
The Mavs played good defense, they just have to limit their turnovers and get somebody else going for 20 points. Game 4 is a must-win, if they lose it, we all know it's over.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 5:58 pm
Haslem did everything he could, he's 6'8, Dirk's just gonna shot over him, he made it very tough on him, luckily he missed.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 6:17 pm
I'm very surprised that Coach Spo didn't use Anthony in the last possesion for defensive purposes.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 6:18 pm
Dirk choked. Again. Plain and simple.
Mon Jun 06, 2011 9:05 pm
Dirk didn't choke. A man can only hit so many big shots. @King Dee that's an even worse suggestion. I can understand if they were in the post but since Dirk had the ball at the perimeter, he would've had more than enough space to dribble right pass a slower Anthony. Haslem was the better choice because he's a better perimeter defender than Anthony. As much as people hate to give Spoelstra credit he has done a pretty good job of not allowing Dirk easy buckets. He also has not done a bad job of taking Dallas' shooters out of the game.

With the exception of Kobe.

If the Heat win this series, and they probably will (don't hate), Wade will be Finals MVP.

Unless LeBron averages like 40 for the rest of the series, which he won't.

Can't imagine there are still haters for both teams (especially Miami).. I'm on Miami but I like Dallas to win too that's why my vote is Heat in 7.

Yup. But it's understandable how Wade is having a better series due to the match up. Stevenson, Kidd and Terry on Wade? That's the match up Wade can take advantage of. Meanwhile what's with this Marion against his former team? I guess we underestimated injury free Marion. This guy's been amazing on both ends.
I have a feeling Dirk's finger injury was overplayed while Bosh's poke in the eye was underplayed. His eye was swollen and red throughout the game yet commentator said nothing about it even though he's the key part of the game. Huge props to Bosh though for hitting the eventual game winner.
Tue Jun 07, 2011 3:59 am
Bosh acted like a complete bitch over that eye injury. All of the rolling around on the floor was unnecessary. He hit the biggest shot of the game but overall he played mediocre. He had 18 pts but 3 Rebs.
Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:09 am
Open your eye, let someone poke their finger in it, see how it feels.
Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:12 am
Anyone that has played a basketball knows how it hurts to get poked in the eye. I wouldn't expect you to play at full capability either when your red is all swollen and red. It sure did look bad without doubt.
Tue Jun 07, 2011 5:04 am
That had to hurt for Bosh, but then came back and gave the team the win
Great victory for the Heat.

I don't even remember Bosh's injury even being on the nba.com recap video. I watched the game live, and when Bosh was down on the ground rolling around and everything I thought he'd broken his leg or something. At least he's alright.
And yes, getting poked in the eye hurts like a motherfucker.
On a completely different note, fuck Bosh for hitting the game winner.
