White man can't jump, that's the theory that Blake Griffin destroyed this year

Blake Griffin IS NOT white !

Overall, the robbing of the award wasn't anywhere near as bad as Iggy losing to Nate Robinson.

I missed the 3 ballad dunk. After seeing that, McGee had the best dunks overall, imo.

Though both robberies still involved Kenny Smith one way or the other. That's why he must never, ever, be involved or even be near the contest again.

I think DeRozan's dunks are pretty good but it suffered in comparison to what Epic Vale and Air Congo did.

i would call him white

I call James Farrior white, but different photos have different coloring ect.

I would say Reggie Bush is black and so is atari bigby, but that's my opinion, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_color http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Von_Luschan_scale

As would this wikipedia place him as a darker white.

If NBA hadn't revealed the East Bay Funk Remix or whatever in that video and DeMar had got it on the first try (Stupid Amir Johnson), then he would have made the finals.

Ibaka was very creative, McGee's 2 baskets was nasty.

Well,i think that I read somewhere that he's half white, half black,so can we say that the statement that White men can't jump is 50% wrong?

Awesome first round, forgettable final round.

I had a feeling after the gimmicks were used up that Mcgee wouldn't be able to perform, and while I was pleasantly surprised by the reverse one hander where he had to duck, I couldn't see him overcoming Blake's popularity.

Demar got robbed on his first dunk, so did Ibaka, and I personally thought both of Mcgee's were rated a little high. Sure they were creative, and difficult, but again, take away the props and he wouldn't be able to wow anyone.

Blake's don't look amazing re-watching just the dunks from last night. But slo mo doesn't do this man justice. His height, speed, and power can make any dunk look shocking. His dunks were probably rated a little high still, but w/e.

Really bummed that Demar didn't advance. As if the fan voting wasn't bad enough, the judges aren't consistent either.

am I the only one that loved the glass elbow dunk?

I guess I (we?) should rank our top 5 dunks from last night, just to fulfill my curiosity

1. McGee Double Rim
2. Blake's Honey Dip off Glass
3. Derozen's Showstopper
4. Ibaka's Free Throw
5. McGee Triple Ball

If Blake pulled off this original sweeping windmill 360 from the hip it would be #2

#1 - McGee 2 baskets.
#2 - Ibaka Free Throw Line
#3 - McGee 3 balls.
#4 - DeRozan Show-Stopper
#5 - McGee under the rim reverse.

Blake's car dunk was all show, he could jumped over just a ducking Baron Davis.

This.

And did I say that the addition of the choir, Kenny Smith, and the fan voting all made the second round lame?

i agree with you on both points. seems like lamrock's leading a group of Blake haters with their torches & pitchforks

1.Mcgee's off glass, 2 rims
2.blake off glass honey dip
3.derozan's eastbay funk remix (very sick dunk if you watch it alone. lost some for most people since he had to attempt it so many times)
4.derozan's showstopper
5.ibaka's ft line dunk

McGee was the real winner. Griffin wasn't that impressive in first round. DeMar should have been in the Finals. (N)

Definitely not, that was actually my favourite dunk of the night. My top five would probably be:

1. Blake's Honey Dip off the glass
2. Ibaka's Free Throw Line
3. DeRozan's Show Stopper
4. McGee's Double Rim
5. McGee's Three Ball Dunk

Honourable mention goes to McGee's Rock the Cradle and I did still like Griffin's second dunk, even if there was too much extracurricular stuff and he "only" jumped over the hood. Had Griffin been able to get his first 360 windmill/double clutch attempt down as well as the 360 off the side of the backboard, those would've definitely been in my top five.

I love every single dunks from the contest. Everybody brought their A game and what they did last night raised the bar for the contest. McGee was terrific and should've won it but Blake is Blake and will win even though that car dunk was nothing special but the props and presentation. Ibaka's free throw line dunk was extra impressive since he took off from behind the line and not stepping on it (I'd still love to see James White in the contest, Ibaka is nothing campared to White when it comes to free throw line dunks). So despite the robbery aka fan voting, it was a very entertaining contest. I'm actually OK with Blake winning it but I thought that the voting should have been a lot closer and not 68%. McGee is the real winner though.

My favorite dunk would have been the forgotten one from Griffin. His second dunk in the first round where he was going to do a reverse 360 off the side of the glass, but couldn't finish. Stupid Baron Davis.

I loved the contest this year, it's been pretty underwhelming in recent years. I was wow'ed by some dunks this year, hasn't happened in a long time.

I'm actually looking forward to next years dunk contest.

My friends and I are all in agreement that all of McGee's dunks were awesome, with the exception of his last dunk because he knows he was going to lose anyway.

All future dunk contest participants should be given a memo not to do dunks made by Dr. J if he is a judge since he'll probably be playa hating again if they pull the dunk off.

This. When the car was out in the court he probably would have thought "Oh yes, this is a popularity contest."
