Odom is too inconsistent as a starter. Although he's a good defender, I still think they should start Bynum and then see how things go. If he can't slow down Howard, bring Odom in.

No it wasn't .
Mike, can you do me a favour? It's a simple one to be honest. So here it is...
Say you're sitting in your computer chair reading this and trying to figure out what words of wisdom I am about to bestow upon you. In the background you hear some shuffling noises and you realize it's just your mom doing her routine checkup to see you're not beating off to midget porn during the middle of the day as usual. So anyways, ignore her for the time being, we'll get back to her.
Now I want you to take a deep breath (close the window with the midget porn, that's kind of disgusting while browsing the NLSC) and then think for a moment. Think back to a time where you actually felt loved. Think about all the people that love you, think about your siblings, your grandparents, your aunts and uncles. Remember that one sunny day when you woke up and thought this is going to be a great day, I'm going to attend class after beating off and all the teachers will smile with me and not laugh at me, the girl next to me won't spontaneously start projecting vomit in your direction after getting a whiff of your scent and you won't shit yourself before second period. Think of the good times...and think of how you'll miss them...
..if I were to send ninja's to fucking stab you in the eye and you bleed to death god damn it!!!!!!
Moving on...the human Swiss Army Knife came through big today. Lost his man on the defensive end a couple of times but kept the Lakers offensive attack balanced. Fisher made some vet-savy plays and Gasol has really stepped his game up compared to last season. Kobe was just Kobe with a few questionable decisions down the stretch. Ariza's defense shines as usual and he's fighting damn hard to get through some of those screens. Seemed LA's starters played most of the game compared to usual. Oh and Odom coming off the bench is just great, I think he's better coming off the bench than starting. Kind of disheartening if you're the opposition too. Oh get Bynum out, oh no here comes Odom sort of thing. Love it.
Magic played as expected, like the Eastern Conference Champions. As I figured, game one was just jitters. If Howard can add some offensive moves to his repetoire and they can get a consistent second scorer (well, I guess they have that in Jameer Nelson), this is a team that can show up in the finals each year for a long time. Howard + second = Shaq + Kobe or Duncan + Parker. Right now they are just a really damn good team opposed to a great team. LeBron's going to have his hands full out in the east the coming years. It's great to see another great bigman in the making, specially such a humble one.
Great game, had me on the edge of my seat the last quarter + OT. Hard fought game and a sad miss for Lee but a good win for LA.

That's right, Pau
and Odom can do a good job on Dwight but that will leave either Turkeyglue or Lewis to be open. You don't want those two to have easy shots.

As much as I hate to call a series over after only two games, I really think the Magic needed to get the split. Let's at least wait until it's 3-0 or 3-1 before we close the door but I think to really have a shot from here, they'll need to win all three in Orlando and head back to LA up 3-2. I don't much like anyone's chances when they need to both avoid elimination and then take the decisive seventh game on the road in the Finals, even if it has been done before.

Magic have won enough decisive games this postseason.
If any team can do it... it's the Magic.
Tue Jun 09, 2009 1:06 pm
Well, they've won one Game 7 on the road. I'm not saying they can't do it again, but in general I don't like most team's chances of doing it and I'm not sure about them winning two straight in LA but we'll see. If they can win three straight in Orlando though then it's a whole different story.

Why change what's working?

I am betting on Orlando now. Jinxdrew I feel you too.

The Lakers have been immune so far this postseason, but rest assured I'll accept full credit/blame/responsibility if they blow it from here.

I've been known to do it. Or at least, I've been way off in my predictions at times.

Magic will get their 2 wins at home and thats it, LAL will take the series still

Lal will take the second game in orlando and the last one in LAL.

Hoping the Magic win all their 3 straight home games and push it to game 7, where they'll beat the Lakers like they beat Boston.

Half way into the first quarter and Pau is taking advantage of mis match. Kobe already with 5 points and 3 assists. 17-13. I think this is going to be a good game.
Wed Jun 10, 2009 11:37 am
Kobe just was amazing in the first quarter. Good to see Alston finally playing well. It seems like Pau could be in foul trouble tonight, not Bynum.
Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:23 pm
Kobe was terrific !
and wow ! Magic shooting 70+ % from the field but they still have a slim lead .
Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:06 pm
Rafer Alston finally breaks out of his slump. He should realise that he can be/is a terrific scoring point guard. Pietrus stepped up big time and made big plays for the Magics.
Joey Crawford is now officially the worst male referee I've seen. That shot in the fourth quarter where Dwight blocked Kobe's layup attempt, the closer referee who was right under the basket and saw the play clearly didn't even blow his whistle, whereas Crawford was further away and saw the play from behind blew the whistle. Dwight got all ball on that play.

Great win for the Magics, though this one didn't come easy either.
Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:28 pm
Joey should die for that. He's been like that in the '04 Finals too.
Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:34 pm
Joe Crawford really suck !
Kobe missed 5 Ft's , first time I saw that in a Playoff Game .
Rafer Alston stepped up big time , Stan made the right decision to play him .
See Fellow Magic Fans , this series ain't over .
Lake Fans look out (

) for another Florida comeback ( hope so ) .
Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:35 pm
He should die for a lot of his stupid calls. He's been like that not just in the '04 Finals, but in most of the game he had officiated. Stern should have sacked him after his altercations with Duncan.
Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:39 pm
You're bringing back those great memories .
Duncan v Crawford
Wed Jun 10, 2009 2:54 pm
Good game, Magic shoot like 63 or 64% but still only win by 4

, look out this might become an actual series.
Wed Jun 10, 2009 3:03 pm
Where the hell was Lamar Odom? Didn't get his candy fix?
Wed Jun 10, 2009 4:02 pm
**** the lakers lost

well i hope they could come back and defeat the magic next game....
