Saddest franchise is still the Vancouver. If you draft 5 busts in a row then relocate the team, you'd go WTF too.

Yep,I am a knicks fan so my logic is thinking he is a bust from the start so if he surprises me and plays really well then it's great but if he doesn't I won't be disappointed

And to be fair at this point EVERY rookie is a bust until they prove otherwise because if there is one thing I have learnt over the years is that what you did in college doesn't count for shit once you get to the nba

Closest one I could think of is Antetokounmpo or Oladipo

Noel, Carter-Williams, McLemore

Noel and Giannis are unique talents. MCW is too limited by his jumpshot. McLemore is a dime a dozen SG these days.

Noel already is an impact player on one end of the court. It's highly unlikely he'll be a bust though might not turn out to be a superstar.

Giannis isn't a bust. For a 15th pick, you almost could call his potential a bargain.

They just don't carry magnitude of clear 'bust' definition imo.

even if the draft pool was shallow, nobody though Bennet was a good pick #1, only the Cavs thought that Bennet was good at number 1. Bennet still has not disproved that

Bennett was a surprise #1. What were the Cavs thinking, we don't know. Perhaps they badly missed LBJ, they drafted someone at his height with similar weight. It took him forever to make a field goal and he struggles to score 5 ppg. I'm inclined to believe he's a bust for sure after 2 brief seasons in the NBA.

That year's draft wasn't strong but there are a few good players to come imo. Noel had a strong rookie season and he's just turning 21. Giannis Greek Freak is also turning 21 and might have a shot at allstar career. Then, there is Schroder with unique hair. We also have Rudy Gobert. Furthermore there are many players that will have long decent NBA career from that year like Oladipo, Cadlwell-Pope, Adams, Dieng, Mason, etc etc.

I also wouldn't call MCW a bust. People easily seem to forget he was picked at 11th but only remember him as a ROTY. Picks are overvalued in many people's mind. You turn 11th pick into a starter worthy trade asset, it's very nice return value. Only problem is Hinkie undersold him imo.

if there was ever a year to trade down from the top spot it was this one. they probably could of traded down and got the same player without the expectations

2013 was a horrible draft. Oladipo and Noel were the only ones with upside. Many of the lottery picks were overhyped as always. For the ones saying giannis, I'll like to see you on a GM role picking him at 1. Probably a bigger surprise than Bennett. MCW couldn't shot, Giannis couldn't either a part from having a skinny body and coming from Europe. Schroder was nobody. Noel was, but he already had the one season injury teams did'nt want to risk on.

2013 draft is probably one of the worst draft I've ever seen. As always my theory that there are more players having solid career between picks 15 and 40 than lottery picks remains intact.

Rubio, a bust? That's an interesting one, probably worthy of being spun off into its own discussion. I believe he has the talent to succeed in the NBA, and shooting/efficiency aside, his numbers aren't terrible for the type of player he is. But he has missed over a third of the games he could've played in so far (though he did appear in all 82 games last season, leading the league in steals along the way), and for the fifth overall pick in the Draft, you'd probably be expecting him to at least be on the cusp of being an All-Star, four years in.

Rubio had so much hype for a short while...and for good reason. That major knee injury and his inabilty learn how to score efficiently kinda killed the buzz around him.

I never bought the hype on rubio. He came off as a punk when he refused to work out against the other top pg prospects then made a stink about being drafted by Minnesota.

The injuries have played a part but he hasn't been nearly the player he was hyped up to be. Steve Nash? The late pistol Pete? Yeesh

man oh man. I got into an argument against people that were saying he was better than prime Rondo multiple times.

He basically shoots worse than MCW, slightly, but that's something noteworthy because MCW's value is hitting rock bottom already because he can't shoot. And Rubio's been in this league longer.

11. Ray McCallum
12. Steven Adams
13. C.J. McCollum
