Re: 2015 Playoffs: (1) Atlanta vs. (2) Cleveland

Yes but aren't stats in the Playoffs more important than regular season stats?

Playoff stats should be brought up more often when discussing and comparing players.

Playoff stats usually aren't much different than regular season stats across careers.

The problem is look at that chart above, a sample size of three or two shots is about as meaningless as you can get. Even 10 is pushing it. LeBron's played in 168 playoff games. Kobe's played in 170 over the same span.

I was talking more in general as this list has only 4 guys with over 5 shots.

Most stats that are brought up in discussion are generally from the regular season.

But 10 % eFG says something.

Problem with LeBong James is not his clutchness in last 5 seconds or 5 minutes of the game.

He frigging disappears in the Finals entirely when things matter the MOST. He did it 3 times. Others at least try to shoot and make plays but LeBong was an invisible man. I thought he was Kevin Bacon.

Biggest choke job honor still belongs to that Queen LeBum Jamesey. That is why people think it's meaningless for the Cavs to get to the Finals, not because GSW is an invincible god but because of LeChoke.

Certainly some interesting clutch numbers there...but unless I'm reading it wrong, his 0/1 doesn't seem to account for Tony Parker hitting the game-winning buzzer beater in Game 1 of the 2013 Finals. Nevertheless, those are some interesting numbers, especially as they relate to LeBron and Kobe.

Numbers like that demonstrate that LeBron is more clutch than a lot of people probably give him credit for, without even going into the games where his fourth quarter play led to victories that weren't decided in the final seconds. However, as NovU mentioned, there have been instances where he's stopped being aggressive and virtually disappeared at times when his team has needed him to be on the attack. The suggestion that he isn't clutch at all, or is a failure in crunch time, is wildly inaccurate hyperbole, but it's fair to say that there have been some noteworthy instances of him shying away from taking the big shot, or indeed shooting much at all. That's what seems to stick in most people's minds, probably because it's such a stark contrast to what's expected of a player of his skill and stature.

Looks like Carroll blew out his ACL. No official word yet, but it didn't look good.

Hawks at least made a run to make it a game after that, but too little, too late.

Not that Cavs didn't have their own misfortunes in injury, they're literally getting all the lucks to the Finals. LBJ to make 5th consecutive Finals appearance. At least he's gonna be 2 for 5 there, lel

Carroll was crucial for the Hawks. :facepalm2:

I guess we can say GSW vs HOU is actual Finals this year. Hope it's gonna be a good one.

Good to see Carroll out there, after things looked pretty bleak for him following that landing in Game 1.

Well, that was a stinker.

The Hawks simply sucks too much. This one was against Irving-less Cavs. Come on.

I can't wait for this series to end. LBJ will disappear against the Warriors.

Sucks isn't the right word. They're coming back down to earth with no superstar caliber players after having their dream season.

Well if they didn't sucks, they'd be not down by 0-2 in the series.

LeBron's team is 2-0 now. They are 14-0 when they are 2-0 in a series in the playoffs.
