LOL they had the best chances statistically to win.

and the Cavs somehow winning it twice in a row with less than favorable odds is okay?

Cavs fans saying it was rigged since it's the first time they're not in the lottery.

Lakers fans all over the world rejoiced whilst Kobe is hopping up and down.

The last time the worst team had the first pick was 2004 (Dwight Howard).

I know absolutely nothing about this draft class, but reading from here this Okafor guy could be good.

I hope Hezonja ends up in a good place. He's so cocky and full of himself that I want to watch him get some consistent playing time and actually try to back his words up.

D'Angelo Russell, Jeffx. What part of his game don't you like?

It's not ok. It was nicely orchestrated so that LBJ has reasons to go back and excite fans.

That's the thing with NBA conspiracy theories. No matter what happens, it's always proof that everything's rigged...even the evidence that contradicts other evidence. Especially the evidence that contradicts other evidence.

That's true. Always an argument for rigged drafts. The only reasonable one to me is the Knicks in 1985 when they got Ewing.

And even then, it comes down to commonly believed speculation. As many people have said over the years, if the NBA is rigging things, then frankly, they suck at it.

They can suck at rigging as much as they want.

Even after the referee scandal where Tim Donaghy openly exposed the NBA, people continued watching it because no matter what, it's the best and most entertaining basketball league in the world.

i love how people have been saying the lakers needed a little bit of luck like they have not been the luckiest franchise in sports with the only exception being the yankees. the cavs cant rate until they have a ring so i dont care how many number 1 picks they have landed

"The Knicks have the 4th pick in a 3 player draft." I read that in some article and felt pretty bad for Knicks fans.

Also read Carmelo mentioned rookie PG's have a steep learning curve. I think NY trading the pick is more likely if they can get a somewhat decent vet out of it.

Edit: Or shock every one and select Cauley-Stein at 4.

Jackson told season ticket holders that he likes the idea of getting a top defender in the draft and save the point guard position for free agency. Jackson hinted that the Knicks never truly replaced Tyson Chandler after he was traded and needed to grab size first. Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony told the New York Daily News that he believes free agency is the better place to find a point guard since it can be a tough transition for rookies. The Knicks have already been linked to Rajon Rondo, Goran Dragic and a trade for Brandon Jennings as both Jose Calderon and Langston Galloway are on the trade block.

Carmelo is curse for the Knicks. Passing on guys like Mudiay and Russell to become a pretender? I don't know if you want to do that.

Who were one of those three guys? Mudiay or Russell?

It seems like Russell's value has spiked in recent month. But I still think it's Mudiay that's better. Kid's got some game.

According to the article it was Russell. Mudiay's stock has dropped due to him being injured over in China and his seemingly bad perimeter shot.

Don't get me wrong I think both guys could be all stars, I thought LA would be picking 4-5 so I would've been more than happy with either. I thought the two bigs would be off the board anyways so it would be a toss up between Russell/Mudiay/Winslow/(Cauley-Stein).

LA is basically weak at every spot.

Well, rookie race is going to be so much fun next year.

EMBIID
TOWNS
OKAFOR
MUDIAY
RUSSELL

I don't think Towns will have a huge season as he'll struggle with fouls. But I have a feeling one of these guys will have a great rookie season ala unibrow/CP3. It's been awhile and it's overdue. It's about damn time.

I'm pretty stoked to see some young bigs coming in to league with promise. I don't know what to make of Cousins yet, seems he'll go down the Rasheed Wallace route. Davis/Blake are amazing but some old school anchors in the middle/back to the back centers is always a good thing in my opinion. Hope Embiid stays healthy from here on out and we don't have any Oden-esque situations with any of the young bigs.

It's not a conspiracy, it's real. There is just no reason not to do it in open public and get rid of all doubts. But they do it behind the air tight closed door.
