A lot of time remaining, but looks like Game 3 is going to go down to the wire.
air gordon wrote:Oh so that's why you're not a full fledged Hinrich fan

Do any of those actually still exist, even within the Bulls fandom?

Rose hasn't looked this good in a long time. Let's hope he keeps this up.

Bulls are on the verge of letting this one slip through their fingers. Should've had it in hand.

Close game so far.

Double OT. Great defense for both teams.

Double OT. I have a feeling the Bucks are picking up a win here.

Jinx.

Works every time.

Seriously though, phew. Surely, they can't lose four straight, though it wouldn't surprise me if the Bucks won the next one. Big game from Rose, great to see.

Good job adjusting their defense specially in the 2nd OT but they should've won this game in regulation with that 9 point lead... I reckon Thibs will limit the starters' minutes next game... He was trying it earlier in the game but the Bucks keep on having runs and the bench is not contributing...

I still stand by my vote of Bucks in 4

Agreed. I get the feeling they'd be down 0-3 to the Wizards at this juncture, had they not managed to get the third seed on the final day of regulation.

There are some hinrich believers. Still see a few stragglers wearing them jerseys at bars and at the UC. And dont call me Shirley

Snell with some cajones. Maybe Thibs half thought about putting hinrich in instead but Snell put those fears to rest
Those two open 3pters Middleton hit in the 4th were clearly the result of offensive fouls by Henson for his screens. The guy is tackling butler both times.
Defense made adjustments in the extra sessions and once Mayo missed his hero jumpers, the bucks offense went to sleep
One growing concern I have in this series, and perhaps the rest of the playoffs, is Noah. He cant take advantage of smaller players guarding him and these guys are killing him on the perimeter. Dudley and ilyasova are a walk in the park compared to Love. Gibson came up big today. Bulls made their run when he came in in the 3rd
And I am glad to eat crow and anyone is welcome to join me as Rose continues his play

Huh, well there you go. I suppose if you lay your money down for one, you're going to get some wear out of it, by golly...unless of course, he appears on an ESPN special during the offseason, announcing where he's taking his talents. Then I suppose they can happily burn them without any remorse.

Likewise, I'm also annoyed by that but then again you should not expect Noah to be an offensive option... You can rely on him on putbacks and assists but not on being a shotmaker since he doesn't have the tools or perhaps he's uncomfortable to be one... It's not his job and he seems like forcing himself to do it since Pau's having difficulties with it... Regarding on defending Ilyasova and Dudley, they are just quicker or perhaps he's still not yet fully recovered from his knee issues...

I know Noah is limited but he has to be competent around the basket. I am specifically referring to the times he gets it in the paint and someone smaller is guarding him. He did it in the game 2. Last game he stopped looking at the basket when he had an early shot blocked. Bucks are already playing a zone trap. Noah not being a threat IN THE PAINT is unacceptable
Noah on pf's is the norm since Gasol can't do it. It's an inevitable matchup problem for the Noah who may very well be playing hurt. One way or another Noah has to even out the matchup. Whether it be grabbing offensive rebounds... Just do something to make it harder for defenses to employ the zone trapping

If Rose does his thing, and Niko can come back, Bulls have an excellent chance of beating Cleveland. I'm not impressed with the Cavs' defense.
As for Jimmy Butler - PAY THAT MAN!

Agreed. Playing on one good leg doesn't help matters, but regardless, they need something from him.
It painfully highlights his lack of a shooting touch; if he had one, it would compensate for his afflicted athleticism. His battle with Bill Cartwright for "Most Awkward-Looking Shooting Form Ever" aside, you'd like to see him be far more effective at scoring on offensive boards. If he can get up, get both hands on the ball and get the putback dunk, he's fine. But since he lacks a shooting touch, he often seems to just swat at the ball on tip attempts. If he has a good angle, they'll go in, but otherwise they'll miss badly. Gotta make those easy ones on second chance opportunities, but the touch isn't there.

Yessir. The bucks have a great scheme and personal to defend the Bulls. I don't think any team can match their length and athleticism. In an interview Dunleavy mentioned how hard it is to play against. Passes and spacing have to be perfect. And there's no way to simulate it in a practice
The Niko injury is a wildcard. He is not even running yet.
Andrew wrote:Agreed. Playing on one good leg doesn't help matters, but regardless, they need something from him.
I don't see the cavs doing a trapping style defense but i think they will be ignoring Noah until he proves he's a threat. I think he needs to play more assertive. Making one basket goes a long way for him

A costly turnover, and that's the game. Still, three chances to win one, and they're heading back to Chicago.
Sun Apr 26, 2015 11:13 am
Rose got caught napping on that last play.
Still an exciting game, though.
Sun Apr 26, 2015 3:40 pm
Sweet pass from Dudley, nice playcall from J-Kidd for the win.
Sun Apr 26, 2015 4:21 pm
The Bucks needed that one. They'll be a very fun team to watch next year. They really do feel like they're one key player away from a very scary team.
Bulls will win the next one.

I wish that one key player didn't get injured early in the season.

Rose really got embarassed that play. Reminds me of the time Parker schooled Westbrook for the game winner.
The Bucks are really good defensively with all the turnovers they force. if they stay together, watch out.
