With the Ibaka news, Spurs in 7. Should be a pretty close series given all the trouble the Spurs have had with OKC.

Damn it. The Spurs are dominating interior. We're seeing young Tim Duncan at the moment. The Thunder really needed Ibaka.

Shame Ginobili couldn't finish that layup after going behind the back, that was a very slick move. It feels like the deficit should be much larger, but the Thunder are a run away from getting right back into the game.
Duncan's been an offensive so force, though I just glanced at the boxscores and oddly enough, he doesn't have a single rebound yet, which is certainly unusual for him.

Adams kinda is sucking at defense. His feet are too slow. Collison needs back in fourth. Damn... this series could have been so much better with Ibaka for the Thunder.
EDIT: I hate the referees in this game. KD didn't deserve his 4th foul nor the technical.

You'd think people would appreaciate the refs stepping up and letting Durant know he won't get primadona treatement.
Time for true stars to shine.

Not on that BS call.

I think he has more problems in this game then one foul call.
BTW he just got away with a clear foul(should have been his 5th).
So much about my hopes.

I haven't really noticed the officiating in this one. Sure, a couple of calls here and there that you could question, as always, but the story of the game is the Spurs' relentless attack, the Thunder looking tired and out of sorts, and Ibaka's absence hurting them on the inside.
At this juncture, it might be worth raising the white flag and regrouping for Game 2.

This one's over. Officiating was decent. They made make up calls on both ends so it's forgivable.
But I am disappointed with the result and process. I was expecting more competitiveness even without Ibaka. This looks like it could be a lopsided series now. Sure the Thunder can give the Spurs a tough time but I think it won't be enough to change the series outcome.

I'm fairly confident both Durant and Westbrook will be so pissed after tonight they'll play good enough to make this a series.

It remains to be seen whether Tim Duncan is capable of having a throwback performance each and every game with Ibaka out. The Spurs also shot above 50% from beyond the arc and from the field overall, which probably isn't going to happen every game either. It's just one game, and even if the series ends 4-1, the remaining games might still at least be more competitive affairs that go down to the wire.

Spurs are looking scary right now. Without Ibaka OKC has no chance. I feel bad for Durant. Another year wasted because a main player got hurt.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of player Leonard can become if he remains in San Antonio, as their stars continue to take a back seat and eventually hang it up.

Tim Duncan playing like it's 1999.
I see that Derek Fisher has been teaching Durant how to play defense.
Tue May 20, 2014 3:37 pm
Vintage Timmy was really nice to watch. Seems as if this guy can play forever on that level. What strucks me more is how deep the Spurs are. They just got nearly everybody involved on the offensive end.
Tue May 20, 2014 3:56 pm
I don't think Tim Duncan will retire until he's 45...

It's not easy to make it look like you're playing defense when you're really not. You need to practice that with a veteran mentor.

If you haven't have the right mentor you could easily look very much like James Harden and got blamed for your lackluster D.

OKC doesn't have enough offense to keep up with the Spurs. You can't rely on just Westbrook & Durant beating the Spurs.
Thu May 22, 2014 12:36 am
I think they have offense but LACK DEFENSE. Specially in the paint.
Thu May 22, 2014 11:43 am
What a play by Collison
Thu May 22, 2014 11:48 am
Pure Stephenson right there.

Thunder looked overmatched early on, but they're hanging tough right now.
Thu May 22, 2014 12:14 pm
So much for that. Still a half to go, obviously, but the Spurs are firmly in control once again.

Scott Brooks coaching for his job game 3 possibly?
