Lebron's not joining anytime soon. Durant is not a creative dunker but he could probably be in it.

I don't know. I think this year's contest is better with less gimmick dunks (I still think Blake's 'jump over a car while a choir sings I Believe I Can Fly' and Dwight's Superman probably is the most stupidest dunks in the NBA's Slam Dunk Contest).

I thought the contest was good. The final round is not bad, but 2003's final round between Desmond and J-Rich still is on the top of my list.

I wouldn't call Blake jumping over the car - even if it wasn't over the roof, as many people like to point out - the stupidest dunk we've ever seen. A little overrated perhaps, especially considering he had the dunk of the contest with the elbow-in-the-rim off the backboard that didn't get nearly enough attention. I'm with you on the Superman dunk.

I definitely did like the fact that gimmicks and props were kept to a minimum this year, I'd like to see that philosophy continue in future contests. I still believe creative stuff can be done with the ball and there are players in the league that can pull such things off, but it didn't quite go down that way in this year's contest, outside of a couple of dunks.
