With Monta, he was more of a combo guard. Last year was an exception as he sat out most of the season due to injury. Now, he is a facilitator that always carries the ball down court, initiating the offense, and setting up the teammates while remaining aggressive taking open looks and penetrating on open lanes, which all of were something he had to share with when playing with Monta. Raw stats are up all around though his shooting percentage has dipped from previous years but it's because of his shooting struggle earlier this season. Since then he's been picking it up a bit in that department as well.

Unlike the last three years where his numbers in this regard were all exactly the same or better.
Raw stats are up all around
You mean "per game" stats. Because he's playing 38 minutes instead of less than 35.
I don't understand why people want to invent fake narratives. Is reality just not sexy enough?
Team has its two best players healthy, added two more very good players. (And has a third theoretically.)

Rofllolol, benji's either sober or paid by grin so he could buy Curry low which he's been trying all season long!

Gets caught of not really knowing what he's talking about, changes subject to nothing relevant.

Who'd have thought it'd be a marquee matchup, a couple of years ago?
Fri Jan 18, 2013 4:46 am
Curry is out indefinitely. Shocking...
Fri Jan 18, 2013 9:54 am
So much talent, but his ankles seem very fragile. A tough break for him and the Warriors alike, amidst a good season thus far.

After winning the season series (3-1) against the Clippers the other night.....Curry, Lee lead Warriors past Thunder 104-99 last night.
S. Curry - 31 Pts, 7 Ast, and 4 Stl
D. Lee - 22 Pts, 12 Rebs
Now which Dubs makes the All-Star team to Houston?

David Lee has been selected to the Western All-Star reserved team:

this is his second selection.

Well-earned, though it's fair to say Curry was snubbed.

I'm sure Curry is the first player to be contacted if one or more of the western all-star selected player can't make it. If he can't make it this year then I hope he can participate in the 3 pt contest along with Klay Thompson.

As a GSW fan, wouldn't you rather have Curry sit out for ASG though? He seems pretty banged up. He's been durable playing a lot of minutes in a lot of games but still missed a few games this season due to ankle and knee issues.
I am guessing Chris Paul will rest his knee and Curry gets to be in ASG though both need to sit out imo.

Bogut finally returns...
Played 23 mins, 12 pts, 8 rebs, 2 ast and 4 blks (and two monster dunks).
but Curry rolls ankle again....good thing is only mild. Stay tuned!

As a GSW fan, yes i would love to have Curry in for the All-star game (well deserved). It's just an exhibition game (with 1 mil bonus) and he will likely play limited minutes behind either Paul, Tony or Westbrook anyway if he gets in.
Wed Jan 30, 2013 9:46 am
Put it this way: if Curry truly is too fragile to the point where playing a few minutes in an exhibition game would be a huge risk, then that doesn't bode well for the Warriors moving forward.
Wed Jan 30, 2013 5:33 pm
Right. Though I can agree, I don't think it's a bad idea to rest and skip the popularity game if it doesn't mean much to him. But I guess he won't wanna miss the first AG game of his career.
As for the team, 4 players go down all of sudden, Curry, Barnes, Landry, Bogut(rest). All of them day to day but...

...but the Warriors beat the Cavs anyway behind Klay Thompson new 32 pts career high.

player injuries are normal for NBA teams. I'm not too much worried about it and I'm glad the Warriors are being more cautious with it. I also like their new rotations. I would also love to see more of Bazemore however, I think this kid is really something if giving the opportunity. I know he has been lighting it up whenever he joins the Santa Cruz D-League team. He showed some of that last night while playing 30 mins.

The Golden State Warriors will be the first NBA team to wear a jersey with sleeves:

The Warriors will debut the yellow alternate uniforms on Feb. 22. They will also wear them on March 8 against the Rockets and March 15 against the Bulls.

Points for originality I suppose, but they look pretty weird and out of place.
Tue Feb 12, 2013 1:34 pm
Yeah, it really looks weird.
Wed Feb 13, 2013 2:14 pm
what's next? tighter shorts? I shudder to think what comes after, players wearing shorts like the ones they use for cycling?
I get that is is supposed to be 25% lighter, and wick off sweat better, but would it really help that much? I mean, Jordan was the first to wear loose jerseys. If I remeber correctly, he was fined for wearing shorts that were too long. But did it matter with his game? One thing though, It would be harder to illegally tug on another player's jersey.
Wed Feb 13, 2013 4:06 pm
It's different. An interesting look, looks more like a soccer uni than anything else.
Wed Feb 13, 2013 10:34 pm
Apparently more teams will be adopting them, which I must admit I'm not too keen on. It still doesn't look right - the odd choice of pinstripes on the shorts and not the jersey doesn't help - and the concept just doesn't seem appropriate for basketball. Weird and out of place is still the best thing I can say about them.

Looks gay.
