Youtube clips would be nice.

You expected that our players would only score 60+? Racist. :shake:

I expected the PBA team to lose by 50.

No surprise, shadowgrin, you are more of a racist than I am.

It's funny if it came from a Pinoy. But from other countries, :shake:

All points by NBA players should have been dunks and final scoreboard should have been more like 150-20. Those two things would have suffised my true wants as a racist.

By unofficial count, half of the field goals was composed of dunks, half of those being alley-oops.

Stress Fracture wrote:It's funny if it came from a Pinoy.

It's not funny at all. It just shows you the sad state of our pro league.
They try to emulate the NBA style of play but they really can't since majority of the PBA players don't have the physical talent or athleticism to show for it. Only a few PBA players have the fundamental skills for the game. Arwind Santos, that human scum who tried playing defense on god Kobe and caused him a turnover, comes to mind.

I have no faith with the PBA All Stars (really?). The league nowadays sucks.

This.

You two guys are right. Gate receipts are getting lower and lower, TV ratings are also getting lower.

Yeah, you are right. No love for the Smart Gilas players?

I fucking hate Arwind Santos. He may have the fundamental/athletic skills for the game, but he is like a poor man version of Hakeem Warrick with less dunks and more bricking jumpers

Nothing. Especially that FILIPINO Marcus Douthit. The last National team I was a great fan of was the 1998 Centennial team -- a team that I can say 90% of the roster can actually sing the national anthem.

You beat me with this.

I'm no basketball expert but I think the league became stale in the post Commissioner Bernardino era.

Christian and Lean's posts are getting confusing because of the Punk avy.

He plays defense and rebounds better than Warrick. A Josh Smith comparison would be better except that Santos doesn't sink his team when he bricks shots like J-Smoove does.
He plays PF, 6'4" and 170 lbs. He gives up 4" and 50 lbs. (iirc league average for Cs is about 6'8" and 220 lbs.) against centers and yet he averages double digits in rebounding. Also contributes in steals and blocks.

You hate Santos because you know he could be better than the rest of them clowns like the way Kobe always proves that he's better than the entire NBA.

Stress Fracture wrote:No love for the Smart Gilas players?

I knew that the national team would have a closer game result against the Kobe All-Stars (unfortunately no one was willing to bet against me for lack of funds). Two reasons...

1) MVP (Manny V. Pangilinan, the guy who bankrolled the Kobe All-Stars fees and also the national team) is a businessman.
Sure it was supposed to be a celebration of his bday but he won't bring in something without getting something out of it. It was basically a training game for Smart Gilas against the Kobe All-Stars and not an outright exhibition like it went down with the PBA selection.

2) The Kobe All-Stars were tired for their game against Smart Gilas.
Where do you think Kobe and co. went after the game against the PBA selection in that Saturday night? They went partying and bitches galore! Shiiite yeah. They could only fit so much in such a short itinerary.

I know Arwind can be better but he just irritates me when he takes those 3 pointers. I would still take the corpse of Asi Taulava over him though

Agree, since Santos showed that he doesn't have the existence of a soul and no salvation for him when he opposed Kobe god Bryant.
