If I were to turn on the T.V. to see a close Wizards game, heading into the fourth quarter, I know I'd be in for a show. M.J. had many unstoppable fourth quarters this year which were the best to watch in my opinion.
Watching Ben Wallace now, and the Gary Payton in his prime play, was always great too. These guys gave their heart to playing great defense.

an explaination would b good, man. y do u think its yao? i mean theres nothin spectacular in his game...

Hey, I'm Chinese and it's exciting for me to watch a chinese guy playing significant minutes against the best players in the world.
And "nothing spectacular"? Didn't you see the Shanghai Shake he pulled on the Pacers? Or the spin-and-in-your-face slam on the Beast (the Beast, mark you!)? Or how he answered the thousands of Chinese fans at Golden State with 23pts, 14boards, and his only three-pointer of the year? Sure, he's not highlight reel material like Kobe or Tmac but he can definitely hold his own in this league.
So... yeah, that's about it.

Well, yeah, Michael Finley dunked on him, too and I think there were at least three or four times last season where a guard posterized (sp) Yao but that doesn't stop me from being his fan.

I hate Yao because he came into a league and everyone ate him up and thought he was an Asian god, when really he's not. I mean he may be a decent player, but he sure wasn't good enough to start in the all-star game. I think the only reason that happened was because the league put all-star ballots online in Spanish, something else (maybe french) then TWO Chinese languages. Meanwhile next to nobody in Germany understands how to vote for a deserving guy like Dirk. B'ah, stupid Yao. [/rant]
Sun Aug 31, 2003 4:37 am
Yeah, I agree he didn't deserve to be a starter but it's not his fault China has such a large population. Who wouldn't support one's national hero? And as a side note, I voted for him only three times, and I'm proud of how I handled my urges.
Well, it seems to me colin's dislike (or hate) for Yao isn't really based on who he is but rather on how all the other people treat him. But I guess everyone's entitled to their opinions.

yao will soon be the best player in the nba. and his game is exciting imo, his game is smooth, nice jumper, good movement and he blocked 3 straight shaq shots, very exciting. 1
but of course tmac ai, kobe, rafer alston(when he gets burn, just ask j kidd after rafer hitem wit that crossover), vince carter when hes not on injury list. the list goes on. 1

I dont think yao will ever be the best in the nba. Everyone is out to get him and they see playing him as giving a warm welcome to the nba.(just ask kobe) Everyone likes to try and embarass the big chinese guy(marbury

).
