What!? That'd mean an end of fantasy league for me as well.
Anyways, it's possible that the big three might not stay intact if the team underacheives big time. Right now, I am 80% sure this trio will play well together, but can't deny that 20% worries me.

I don't see how Miami fails to win more than 60 games unless they lose at least two of the guys. Okay, they have some awfully shitty players as invitees (Shavlik Randolph!) but even so, between Chalmers/Arroyo, House, Haslem, Miller, Ilgauskas, Old Man River, even James Jones and Joel Anthony, that's more than enough role player depth for LeBron or even Wade to hold the castle solo for a while. Not Bosh though. He's a poor poor man's Pau Gasol.
And really, how does a few ruffled egos really cost this team dramatically? They're too talented for the regular season run. Unless it deepens to LeBron taking the ball every possession in an attempt to shoot, and his teammates trying to injure him in attempts to get it back.
How does one evaluate underachievement? Not the #1 seed? Two seasons of no championship? I'd think they go full-tilt until they win at least a couple, and they might continue unless they actually get bored of winning. Or the lockout!

82-0, 16-0 in the playoffs.
Same as Dirk Nowitzki.

Yeah I think even if Wall averages like 18/7, Cousins could put up 12/10 and it'd be more impressive to me. Just because bigs take longer to develop/get a feeling for the game in the NBA. Though if he does put up 12/10 he'll be one of 3 dudes to do it in the last 10 or so years.

Wall and Cousins were very impressive, as were Wes Matthews and Kyle Korver for their new teams.
Damn, why Wade.. But since he'll be back when the season starts, it's not all bad. Though I would have hoped to see the Big Three in action more then 3 minutes before the season-opener.

Really want Roddy B to play. Oh well at least they say Chandler play good.

the same thing is said for PG's though i think it's a bigger transition for PG's. they have to learn offenses, teammates tendencies, run a team
look at draft history in the last 10 years. outside of Chris Paul- there aren't many PG's that came close to averaging 18/7 their rookie year
off the top of my head- as for big men in their rookie years coming close to averaging a double double- brook lopez, kevin love, al horford, pau gasol, even taj gibson when starting (lol)
to go further... last year players averaging 12/10:
dwight howard
david lee
randolph
boozer
bosh
murphy
duncan
G wallace
Horford (i cheated- i gave him .1 rebound)
players averaging 18/7
paul
d williams
james

Darren Collision averaged about 18/9 as a starter (37 games).

White being hurt isn't a big deal, but losing Jerebko sucks hard. Hopefully Villanueva and Monroe can play well and they can find someone else to actually hustle out there (aside from Big Ben).
I guess it helps solve the logjam at the 3 though.

calm down sit, you're just mad they beat the lakers.
Thu Oct 07, 2010 4:26 pm
They went 6-2 a couple years back. Don't be surprised to see the Wolves win more pre-season games than regular season ones.
Fri Oct 08, 2010 5:28 am
Did anyone see the Raptors beat the Suns by 51?

There's no way that's even possible.
Fri Oct 08, 2010 6:35 am
I'm gonna watch my Rockets get dismantled by the Spurs tonight (hopefully not). I wasn't impressed in their first game against the Magic. It better just be the case of "preseason games don't matter."
Fri Oct 08, 2010 7:12 am
The Lakers lost to Barcelona. Rubio sucked, like he always does.
Fri Oct 08, 2010 7:17 am
Double whammy for Sit. Lakers lost and his man-love Rubio sucked.

Our Rockets won by 3. Let's party!

We were close to giving up the lead, but good to see we pulled through.

It's just preseason anyways.
That Marcus Cousin guy from the Spurs is an absolute beast though.

It came at the Bulls' expense but still, what a dunk by Terry:

It took a little bit for me to realize that the guy is not De
marcus Cousins.

Me too. I know he can dunk. But posterizing?

He doesn't do it often, but he certainly has in the past.
