If I were Greek coach I'd have Mike Zambidis on the court all time just in case of incident like this.

Nice to see you admitted it!

Updates about the incident and possible bans in a while

What do you all expect? Joel Anthony can't do it all alone like Kobe and LeBron can't do it alone to win. Joel Anthony's teammates are Canadian for fucks sake. He needs help.

Krstic is arrested for assault over Bouroussis!
Look at Sofo in the vid! When he got up and got after Krstic ,he ran away

No danger of a ban for the players, except Krstic, cause there have been charges against him,by the Greek organisation and Bouroussis

i feel ashamed for what happened yesterday. the stupid fight stopped a great match with a thrilling ending. kristitc must go to prison and never play basketball any more. what he did (he hit the greek center giannis bouroussis with a chair on the head) can send the victim to the hospital or kill it. i hope greece and serbia will not meet again in the world championship this year. If this happens, i really don't know if this match will end...

Jesus Christ! Krstic is a stupid fuck. What was up with him? First, he hits Shorts from behind, then when the guy is coming towards him, he backs up (honestly: who wouldn't? Shaq maybe.) only to throw a metal chair when things were just about to cool down. He needs to get banned for the world cup and go to an anger management class or something. I couldn't believe what I saw.

Krstic is a fucking coward. IF you're gonna throw a punch, you gotta stand up and take what's coming to you.

Didn't seem that bad compared to what reports suggested. Obviously shouldn't have thrown the chair (looks like he threw it really poorly), but people seem to be getting their knickers in a knot.

It's the patriotic feeling

and the cowardness of Krstic(He hit Sofo on the back several times, and when he turned over,Krstic run away. After that he hit Bouroussis with a chair and in the police testimony said that the chair slipped from his hands!!!!!)

How did the chair end up in his hands in the first place, it slipped to his hands? Krstic has a lame ass excuse.

I have always been a fan of objective journalism and certainly, a fan of discussions that basically involve one person's opinion.

If one would like to make a conclusion based on this video, it should be taken into account that Sofoklis was trying to beat up Bjelica (while he was lying on the floor). Pretty much fair fight, I would say. Anyway, it was never just about this game, it goes deep into past and involves rivalry between Greece and Serbia (in terms of basketball) and for this particular occasion, we shouldn't forget rivalry between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, since many of these players are playing for those two teams. I don't know what the police statement says, but Krstic clearly stated he threw the chair.
Both sides should be ashamed, that is for sure.

Concerning the comment about Serbs. I would say it is really inappropriate to make generalizations (and more likely incorrectly) just for a sake of argument (Divac as opposed to Milicic), since one can easily find any kind of a man in any country. I believe it is not that easy to understand somebody, to some extent, without paying attention to the details such as cultural heritage, history, current situation,... and maybe possible problems that may arise from such circumstances. TV is not the world we encounter outside of our homes.

Nevertheless, I suppose that FIBA should penalize at least half of both teams and referees as well, which is not going to happen, unfortunately.

Best regards!

astro, i don't have anything about sebians.I personally have a sympathy to them as many Serbs have a sympathy to Greeks too.

It's only about those particular Serbs in that particular moment.
Krstic stated that he took this chair for protection and it slipped from his hands, which obviously is a lie,as you can see from his moves.

Of course, that is part of our mutual heritage.

That is exactly what I was trying to say. Moments like those, should be isolated and only those who were involved should be responsible for their acts, whether they have a good excuse to act that way or not.

I only know what Krstic said on Serbian language. If that is what he said to the Greek police, than I have to agree with you that he lied. Anyway, I don't want to defend him, I am really disappointed by his behavior, this is something I would never expect from him, but I still think both sides are responsible. For sure, Krstic made himself the focal point of this fight and is the only one responsible for his new reputation.

Best regards!

No problem my friend!

I believe that those who should be blamed mostly are Fotsis and Krstic and then Teodosic
Fotsis started the big fight,Krstic was punching everybody and Teodosic was the cause.there were also some players from both teams like Sofo,Keselj and Tsartsaris who had less involvement on this as well, and there also the unlucky ones, like Bouroussis, who was hit even if he tried to seperate them.
