:mrt: I pity the team whose best player is Kevin Love.

Kevin Love's a beast. Maybe.

No, why would you take the contract and inside scoring of Jefferson to put on the bench? Or why would you resign Millsap last year, let Boozer go this year, and bench your best rebounder?

Memo is going to the bench no doubt.

Memo is playing at C position. Jefferson can play PF.

No...Millsap plays PF and is a solid D/rebounding presence. Al Jeff at C, Millsap at PF, with Memo coming in from the bench as a sixth or seventh man. Ive never been a big fan of Okur so I love this move. Glad Deron's getting some help with boozer and korver (and possibly matthews) departure.

I'm sure Jefferson will be thrilled about that, if one of the reasons he's being traded is because he doesn't want to play centre for the Timberwolves. Not that he's going to have much of a choice if Memo is likely to miss a good chunk of the season.

Re: Al Jefferson Traded To Jazz

Which is a weird complaint because he could already play alongside Love, and Love can defend the primary inside threat while he blocks shots from the help-side.

Or at least he could have if Rambis didn't want to bring Love off the bench for some weird reason. (And he wasn't traded.)

He will definitely have to guard centers in Utah as Milsap is probably too short to get away with it for long enough stretches.

Then you must really pity the Raptors, Sixers, Cavaliers, Pacers, Pistons, Wizards and Clippers among other teams.

I would have a boner if that was the case, just so everyone here knows this.

If Jefferson plays PF, Millsap will be 6th man. BTW, you hate Okur but do Jerry Sloan hate Okur?

He used to at least.

There's nothing wrong with being a sixth man and for some people (see: Ben Gordon/Manu Ginobili) they seem to do better coming off the bench (while still playing starter minutes). I just cant believe you trade for one of the best young big men in the game and bench your 2nd biggest talent for a large white boy who shoots well but does little else.

But he's Turkish? That makes him the Jazz' MVP right there.

Okur was an All-Star at 2007 Las Vegas. Did you forget that?

Re: Al Jefferson Traded To Jazz

Fri Jul 16, 2010 4:30 am

It isn't 2007 anymore.

Re: Al Jefferson Traded To Jazz

Fri Jul 16, 2010 4:37 am

Okur was never all-star caliber, but he's still a good player. Without Wes Matthews, it makes sense to also have Okur out there to stretch the floor. Millsap can resume the sixth man role he's played his whole career.

Now that he's coming off his worst season since his rookie year and a major injury though...

Re: Al Jefferson Traded To Jazz

Right... This is the main problem.

Re: Al Jefferson Traded To Jazz

Not really. He's good but him being Turkish makes him suck lessening his being good.

Taking on Turkglu's contract is a huge mistake. The guy's a whiny loser. Especially hated what he said after this season back in his own country. He deserved to be criticized, instead he blamed the team. The fucker's a whiny ass.

And that kids, is a lesson on why you should at least read the last 3-5 posts of a thread before posting and not expose yourself as a spammer that you really are.
