And it's easy to forget he's already past 30.
and Maggette's older then Salmons
i'm a little skeptical with Maggette's fit in Skiles system/rotation
now it will be interesting to see what contract Salmons will get. i don't blame the guy for opting out. this will be his last chance for a big payday. iirc he couldn't get anything more then the MLE a few years back. now that he's 30- i don't see him getting >$9mil/yr contract from anybody

what's your point of mentioning Salmons age in the first place? to let us know Salmons gets a better rate on his car insurance then the 16-24 age range?

He's 30 years old, is decidedly average, and the only thing he's done of any note in his career is jack up a bunch of shots for two morbid offenses over the last year and a half. You don't sign those types of players to any long term deal.

actually most teams do and then spend the next 4-5 years sucking up the league

...the fuck? when the bucks get three nba titles in a decade, or even take down the #2 seed in a playoff series....then i'll stop thinking that this is the most incoherent sentence ever crafted.

Perhaps this will come to pass after all, now that Salmons appears to be returning.
