Since you've failed to counter any of those points, do I assume this to mean you are conceding the point? Whatever that point actually is?

Naw. I am done discussing any matters with you. Total crap diarrhea is all I get for doing that. I will pass...

god bless him for following his dream. :applaud:

I agree that he was second banana on two of those teams, but once that Nets' series came about, we saw Kobe transform into the alpha dog. That change obviously didn't bode well for the Lakers' chemistry, but by the time they got back to the Finals in 2004, Kobe was "the" guy on the Lakers.

And Kobe being "the" guy led the Lakers in winning the 2004 Finals! G.O.A.T!!!!

I've never seen Kobe being smothered with triple teams like Jordan did in his early days in the league nor did I see Kobe going to the basket with relative ease despite being triple teamed like Jordan did.
Also forgot about the difference in their defense - but that can be ignored in this case since defense rarely gets highlight reels.

koberulz wrote:LeBron is a one-dimensional scorer. Drive. Dunk. Drive. Dunk. Drive. Dunk. Did I ever claim his entire game was one-dimensional? No

Quite amusing considering LeBron scored more points with his jumpshot than dunking or even scoring in the paint

Re: Prediction: Kobe gets 6th title next year

Kobe is the best scorer, he can shoot the three, drive, shoot long jumpers that hardly ever go in, that makes him three dimensional. That he makes horrible decisions in a game seven and Ron Ron wins you the game is totally not a factor on his greatness. Eff you.

i still say the dumbest statement ever is mj is kobe without a 3 point shot. funny thing is if these 2 played against each other in the finals in their primes jordan would destroy kobe. jordan would actually play defense on him while still adding something on the offensive end. kobe could stand to actually learn some proper defense or should i say actually learn that defense is important

maybe we can just say kobe is mj without the talent?

Why do we always compare Kobe to Jordan when Kobe isn't even the greatest Laker of all-time?

Because it's retardedly fun for some people.

The Lakers won't win, because -

They traded for Pau during the 07-08 season, didn't win the title that year. Next year, they traded for Morrison, won 2 titles straight. And now, Morrison is likely to leave.

The universe works in random patterns, but it is also subconsciously self aware and merely discussing it has changed the future. Way to ruin the 3-peat.

On a serious note, much of it depends on how healthy Andrew Bynum and Kobe Bryant are next season, and of course whether the Zen Master returns.

not to mention the vast amount of big name free agents this off season. who knows what the rest of the league will look like next season. if any of the big names is willing to make less money you could see the top 3 free agents all on one team and pretty much just shit all over the nba

All right, I'm back for delivering more facts to the anti-Kobe liars. Had to go to the store because I continue to be famished after the amazing display Kobe put on in the Finals. Honked my horn all the way there yelling "WE DID IT" at all the Kobe haters. Eat it bitches. We did it. We won. You didn't, so shut the fuck up.

Now to spit some truth to all the rabid anti-Kobe jerks here who seem to think he's some kind of John Starks-lite.

News flash, Kobe is the greatest scorer in history. 81? Heard of it? Thought so. Just trying to deny the facts again, aren't you? 35.4? Heard of that too have you? Knew it.

Now let's get some other facts straight, Kobe led the Lakers to five rings, and would have seven if the NBA and Shaq hadn't rigged two NBA Finals to make him look bad. (And a third to cover-up the truth about Shaq.)

Number of rings Shaq had in any year in which Kobe played less than 2100 minutes? ZERO.
Number of rings Shaq got after Kobe played 2500+ minutes a season? FOUR.

Now, there's a number of posters here more talented and more skilled than LeBron James, we've establish this morsel of truth. (Mmmm, tastes good.) But what we also need to establish is that EVERY POSTER HERE is more talented and more skilled than Shaquille O'Neal.

THE FACTS:
Shaq can barely get past HALF of 80% at the line. Beyond unacceptable and the most team killing thing possible.
Shaq had and has zero mid-range game.
Shaq has never averaged 4 or more assists per game.
Shaq has never averaged 1 or more steals per game.

CASE CLOSED.

Need proof? The two most overrated players in league history (Shaq and LeBron) teamed up this season and what happened? They bombed out to the trashy Boston Celthugics who were then vaporized in the Finals by Kobe.

CHECK...AND MATE.

Now onto Jordumb. He could only shoot threes out of weird flukes (with a lot of "foot on the line" threes thanks to the refs) or having the line closer. Kobe regularly bombs in threes while falling out of bounds after being shoved. Head to head? Kobe won 5 of the eight games, and only lost the early ones because he was still on the bench due to Del Harris being jealous of his talents. Adjusting to the same minutes, head to head Kobe Bryant, despite being younger and not having the refs and media on his side, outscores Jordan 28-24, outrebounds him 5 to 4, and dishes more assists 5 to 3.

And that's even with the anti-Kobe scorekeepers only counting a third of Kobe's assists, as they did in the Finals game seven where they only gave Kobe two assists even though he created every single one of Artest and Gasol's shots. (Something I forgot to mention in the other thread, sorry.)

Let's see who Jordan played with, shall we? Scottie Pippen, one of the most talented and versitile players in history and a hall of famer. Who else? The best rebounder to date, Dennis Rodman? How about a bunch of All-Stars? Yep, Horace Grant, B.J. Armstrong, Robert Parish, Bill Cartwright. Near All-Star 20ppg scorers like Ron Harper. On and on.

Who did Kobe play with? Washed up players, a giant guy who demanded the ball but is the most overrated and unskilled player in league history and only appeared to be good because he could shove over people at will, a bunch of guys who never won anything like Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol instead of guys like Will Perdue and Steve Kerr who won titles elsewhere as well.

Let's not even get started on how the entire league, refs and media were in Jordan's pocket, giving him giant shoe contracts, commercials and stuff. Letting him push off players to get shots off. Making up stories about having the flu while hiding stories about gambling and affairs. Even the other players on his team like Scottie Pippen were willing to give up so they didn't win titles later to "prove" that Jordan was great.

Meanwhile, the players were so jealous of Kobe that Shaq convinced Payton and Malone to come to Los Angeles just so they could punk Kobe and give up in the Finals so that people could point and go "see, Kobe can't win even with three other hall of famers." And then to "prove" that Shaq was any good they organized and engineered a title for both him and Payton in Miami. (While stocking the team full of All-Stars like Antoine Walker or key title winners like James Posey. Both of whom just HAPPEN to have Boston ties.) And the media hated him so much they fabricated rape charges to try and distract him when he was about to lead the Lakers to a five-peat.

All these other free agents are stupid, except for Bosh, because they're talking about going somewhere where Kobe isn't. Artest learned, Gasol learned, Odom learned, you can't compete with Kobe so you might as well join him and get some of the glory and even the haters saying you were more important. Instead they're going to go elsewhere and hope the refs and league can rig things against Kobe like in 2008.

And Kobe can play until he's 70. He's a perfect athlete. John Stockton (no skill, just thuggery) and Karl Malone (same, also a loser) played until 40. One of those trashy Celthugics, Robert Parish played well into his 40s. Someone with a body as honed and perfected as Kobe could play forever. Assuming they don't try to take him out like they did all season leaving him basically crippled but still willing his team to victory in the NBA Finals.

I think all this hatred stems out of pure jealousy. Kobe Bryant is the most talented and skilled athlete in world history. He wouldn't bomb out of the MLB like Jordan, he'd make the Yankees and bat .460. He'd be winning endless numbers of World Cups.

And it's not just on the court that they hate him. They look at him off the court and see his perfect family. His wife is the most beautiful woman around, and his children will probably be just as amazing as Kobe and her are.

Kobe knows there are haters. But he doesn't care. He only cares about winning. Being the perfect player, the perfect husband and the perfect father. And he knows that the haters are just jealous because at the end of the day what do they have? A fat gut and nobody, while he has all the rings and the perfect family.

The only thing standing in Kobe's way is the entire world. And he's overcome them five times, and really more like nine times, so I don't see why he won't again considering he's just starting to reach his prime.

As for the Phil Jackson worries (which is ironic considering nobody claims he was all of JORDAN's success, just Kobe's) I see no problem if Jackson retires. The next best (and probably better) coach is right there in the thread title: Kobe.

You don't want to know. You might have to read long 5 pages of pointless diarrhea rampage involving some stupid nutcase with biggest ego and no brain(9yrs old acting like basketball god). Even benji got tired and gave up and got baptized to become the greatest Kobe fan ever. It was a smart thing to do as rest of us are still having hard time coping with lives left behind.

So true. It was no rape. The white woman was so awed with Kobe's awesomeness that she had consensual sex with the G.O.A.T. Kobe just so she could have his babies, but her body and mind was too weak to contain the seeds of greatness that she went crazy.

Did they acquire Kobe Bryant?

Because anyone who didn't has no chance. Especially if he takes over as coach to replace Phil Jackson.

The Bobcats?
You must be joking. Sure G-Dub is a great player, but as benji said, no Kobe Bryant-like player, that's why they couldn't get past the Magic.
