Damn Rondo just keeps draining threes.
Sun Feb 14, 2010 11:05 am
This is just like normal practise for them.

Shoot off sucks, we don't need an All-Star Saturday pregame show.

That shows how good of shooters NBA players.

Poor Rondo having to do a 3pt shootoff against Durant. I was wicked surprised he kept hitting them though.

I Just wish Rondo could shoot like that in-game.

25.5% from 3pt line this season and 26.6% career. Was also surprised to see him almost keeping up with Durant.
But in the end, Durant won. Good for him.

Actually quite enjoyed it, even more than last year. Was rooting for Casspi and Barkley, but meh.

"I have a problem with this. I have a problem with this. Mavericks don't put their hands up in defense" or something similar to that.

Loved that as well.

Me too. Casspi and Barkley seemed they were actually enjoying the event compared to others.

The home Dallas fans booed him but all was well.

Give me a ball and no defender and I drain over .500 of my three pointers despite not being a good basketball player. Give me 10 ingame shots and I may rattle in one shot at best.

I think Casspi's shots were the most creative (Apart from the banked free throw). And what was that in the end? Rondo and Durant just had a freakin 3PT shootout. Of course Durant won, he can shoot threes.
Last years was better in terms of shot selections.

Time issues. They were gonna do the same thing last year if the guys didn't get knocked out quickly enough.

Yeah, I think you will notice most NBA players don't miss many shots in practise and with no defender. I remember reading about Bill Wennington(is that his name? Bulls player) swishing 18 footers one after another - as well as stories of many other nba forwards and centres - during pregame warmups... I mean, they're pros, that's what they do. When you have a defender and in game situation, then that's when you start to miss shots.

^And that's why those players are role players.

any word if this is coming back this year?

No word of it in the All-Star 2011 section on NBA.com and it's not mentioned in the
full event schedule.
