Hey Andrew, as a Bulls fan did you agree with his ranking the '86 Celtics ahead of the '96 Bulls? I didn't at first, but after looking at it and thinking about it he wasn't being a homer at all.

I loved the book. I got through it in a week or two while I was on holiday. I love Bill Simmons though, even though some of his arguments dont make sense or are completely biased towards Celtics, he is still a really entertaining writer and some of his shit is hilarious!

If you get too caught up in a few points of his that you didn't like, you're missing out.

Also, the book is cheap as shit - only $12 on amazon, which for 700pages is great! Like Christopherson said, if you care about the history of basketball, its worth a read.
I knew next to nothing about basketball before 2004, so it was great to hear someone talk about players from before my time

I thought he made a fair argument, I could see where he was coming from. I still think you could argue them being on equal footing (a bit of a cop-out, of course) or the other way around or at least being a little closer.

Believe me, I try lol. If I had 1/8 of the readers that tool Perez Hilton does, I'd be one happy man.[/quote]

Well, if you want a paid career in journalism, it's tough to break into it. I have got to agree with that. None of the stuff I learnt in Uni would prepare me for real journalist work...
