It should be Lebron, but in saying that, it'll probably be Steve Nash

LA is only a game ahead of CLE for overall standing. At this pace, it'll come down to stats of individuals rather than team record if they're in close range like right now. LBJ has way better numbers so as long as Kobe fans/medias don't whine too much, I think it'll be Lebron for sure.

Yep. It sucks that the Suns are going to miss the playoffs despite it. If only he were traded to a contender.

I wouldn't be that definitive. Memphis and Oklahoma City has to get injured at some point, and New Orleans is holding a fire sale on their players. Plus Portland is going to lose every single guy on the team to injuries and field a NBDL team post-All-Star break.

Phoenix used the Nets to pad their Pythagorean record, but despite little-to-no injuries, the Suns have gone 11-15 since their 14-3 start. Morris Almond shall hit the game-winning shot for Portland to sink the Suns' hopes of a #8 seed.

Wojnarowski opines that the Lakers/Cavs game has seen Kobe effectively lose the MVP to LeBron. While the merits of his argument and the "true" MVP are subjects open to debate, Wojnarowski's sentiments might indicate which way the winds are blowing as far as the media are concerned. Since they're the ones who vote on the MVP, it might be an indication that if we're purely making a prediction as to who we think will get the nod, LeBron is the safer bet out of the two at this time.

Yep. Sadly, the media views irrelevancies such as season series to be more important than actual value to the team. Granted, LeBron should win the award anyway, but its still ridiculous nonetheless.

Depends on when the playoff race is settled enough.

You need something to write about in late April, early May before the playoffs start. And holding a fake debate over the MVP is a good way to take care of that.

It'd be the injuries to those players, PLUS Kobe fighting through his own life-threatening injuries to lead the team to the top seed in the West.

Addition in italics. I've got to believe that will be an angle that's played up.

I think Kobe deserves it for now.Lakers are the best team in the league.First candidate for nba chamionship. They are playing great.Mvp is a individual award but you can't win it if you have bunch of losers around you.
