if you watch the video you can see he brushed his right knee with brooks but his left knee is the one which is hurt. i saw the big ass pic in the Oregonian sports page of Oden's knee it is so jacked up i cant believe he did all that damage by just planting his feet and jumping

Well, if I remember correctly, at the very least it's not the same knee that got operated on previously. Hope he makes a full recovery from this.

I tore my lateral meniscus cartilage in my right knee in a weird way. Basically, while being boxed out, I tried moving my right leg to push off in an attempt to go for a loose rebound, but my foot stayed in the same place and my knee moved instead, popping outward. My friends were baffled because I was basically at a stand still when I got injured.

Look at it like the Blake Griffin injury. He dunks, lands, feels something in his knee, continues to play. Kind of like Yao Ming. Ouch, my foot hurts. Now amplify the actual injury that occurs, and you are immobile, and in horrible pain.

In short, knee injuries fucking suck, and really happen without warning.

Agreed, it doesn't look like much but it probably was enough. Landing on it afterwards wouldn't have helped matters.

I still don't think Portland should have taken Durant, as I doubt he would have fit in to the offense. Then again, Roy tried his best to prevent Oden from fitting in to the system. The injury is a major drag. The Blazers were looking like a fringe playoff team before Oden went down. With our best player, and best backup forwards out, Brandon Roy will need to play like he did last year for there to even be a change that Portland makes the playoffs. Its a good thing the Hornets suck now.

Get well soon.

Damn, what is it with Portland and their big men? Walton, Bowie, now this kid. They have the worst luck.

I think Hill's advice is a good one for Oden. Hope he sees it and make a remarkable comeback like Hill did.

Seems like good advice indeed. Hopefully Oden can keep his chin up and return with a vengeance when he's healthy.
