Apparently, Chris Paul isn't too happy with the firing.

i think there will be a big demonstration in New Orleans tomorrow...Hornets management may need to beef up security as every Hornet fan would want to kill them

It seems that in the past years, almost every team with a slow start tends to fire its coach despite having good records in the years before. Is it starting to become a trend? Fire and start again?

The firings aren't due to the slow starts, but the slow starts are used as justification to fire someone they already wanted to fire.

And it's not "starting to become a trend" as it has always been this way.

In one of the most famous examples, Pat Riley became a first-time coach with the Lakers eleven games into the 1981-82 season replacing Paul Westhead just one year after winning the 1980 Championship. And the Lakers were 7-4 at the time, coming off 60 and 54 win years.

Which again, seems unnecessary to me. If you're that keen on getting rid of the coach, simply state that you're moving in a "new direction", wish them well in their "future endeavours" and bring in the new coach in time for training camp.

Only Hornets games I've seen in the past year have been the playoff series in which the Nuggets destroyed them. According to RealGM forums (don't worry, I brought in the entire salt-shaker), Scott's coaching had deteriorated significantly last season. Anybody want to back this up?

Coaching can be quantified? I mean sure bad timeouts or badly timed subs could be seen as "bad coaching" but that's not exactly a statement you can back up

Of course it can be. Maximization of the rotation. Development of the players. Proper defining of player roles.

All those things you do in Franchise Mode.
