Even if Lebron's shot was in playoffs its not like it was the turning point and they went on to win the series.
And his dunk wasnt even that good....cmon now. i wanna see some rim shaking dunks not one he barely got over and his headband made it look more dramatic than it actually was
plus this should be in there

A fine top ten again but Harris' heave should top that list as well. It's the luckiest shot on there, but when you're talking about amazing plays that doesn't matter. If somebody received the inbounds pass in the backcourt, blindly flung it over their head from practically fullcourt and the shot swished to beat the buzzer, it would be the most ridiculously lucky thing we'd ever see. But it would also be one of the most ridiculously amazing things we'd see too, so it would still make a pretty good case for the top spot.

Lebron's shot in the playoffs was sick!!!!!!!
But I think harris should have gotten no.1 spot.
If he was playing for a higher profile team, probably, but seeing as though now he is stuck in the nets.

Well, with carter gone, he will lead the team.

And the third video, wrecked again... fucking hopeless. Lebrons first shot shouldve been number 2. How dare they rob him like that

Gotta love Big Baby's buzzer beater. I mean it's a nice play, he hits the game winning shot AND knocks down a little kid. What more can you ask for?
Fri Jul 17, 2009 9:23 pm
him turning around and kicking the kid
Fri Jul 17, 2009 10:43 pm
the no. 10 dunk should be higher at least 7
Fri Jul 17, 2009 11:26 pm
I probably would've put Murphy's tip a couple of spots higher too, come to think of it.
Fri Jul 17, 2009 11:44 pm
Likewise, and Mike Taylor's dunk should have been fighting for top 2 as well.
Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:31 am
The dunks in the top 10 plays are better than any of the top 10 dunks shown.
LeBron #1 in both videos? I think the NBA is doing a bad job of promoting him because we're clearly not that stupid.
Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:55 am
LeBron stole both number 1's.

Definitely, I'm tempted to tout it as deserving of number one in that countdown.

He's LeBron James. That's why. He has the most influence in the NBA nowadays along with Kobe Bryant. The NBA is doing everything in it's power to place him at no.1 in every single category.

It's MikeMan's conspiracy theory!

I wouldn't disqualify LeBron's buzzer beater from being number one just because it's "lucky". I mean, Harris' shot is lucky and I'd nominate it as the top play. Some of the most amazing moments in sports are lucky, that's just the way it is. It doesn't mean that they're not spectacular.
If anything, I'd say LeBron's buzzer beater against the Magic shouldn't have been number one because it wasn't all that lucky. It was a great shot, one of the biggest shots of his young career (even if they did go on to lose the series) but it was your run-of-the-mill game winning shot. He caught the pass, squared up, got it off in time and hit it. I don't mean to completely trivialise it, but shots like that have happened before and they'll happen again. LeBron himself will do that again and they'll probably be more meaningful and deserving of the top spot. But the sheer unlikelihood of Harris' half-court heave, especially after the strip, makes it more of a proverbial "one in a million" play.

If anyone else hit that shot, no way it makes #1, it's only because its LeForehead and the NBA is trying as hard as they can to market him. Money is the root of all evil
Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:52 pm
I reckon if Kobe made it, it would be #1 as well. LeBron is not the only player the NBA has tried to force-feed to fans, past or present.

Well, his theory was right on some parts. I never disagree on the Kobe/LeBron thing.

agreed 100%
i miss the days when highlight reels contained worthy highlights....not marketing from the nba

When was that?

I don't have any problem with any of those plays being in top ten countdowns. Some players just get their plays ranked a little higher because they've got more hype.
