They are good this year, but the Lakers are better.

It all depends on whether Lakers can re-sign Odom. Without him, I give the edge to the Spurs.

Then I should PM Andrew and tell him to come over and create another thread call "And now, watch me jinx the Lakers in re-signing Lamar Odom".

Sorry guys, but I picked the Lakers to win in every playoff series thread and here they are, the 2009 NBA Champions. I'm denying all responsibility for team's failures from now on. ;)

isnt everybody just a little tired of the Spurs by now? 4 titles in the last 10 years playing the most boring basketball outside of detroit. they are like the herpes of the NBA, every few years another outbreak. they cant just have a title run of 2 or 3 years. nope. they pop up like genital warts every other or every couple years. did you know that team had the fewest total dunks last year by any team. by a long shot? 81 dunks. 22 players had more dunks than the entire spurs team last year. reference below.... its sad. duncan just doesnt go to the rim.

KingJames23,

Calm down. Spurs will win the title next season. I hope you do some anger management before that..

I don't know about that, it seems like he questions and reacts in disbelief to about half the fouls he's called for.

the spurs will NOT win the championship this year. Lakers, Celtics, Cavs or Magic are the likely candidates...

Who gives a shit about dunks? That is possibly the dumbest argument I have ever seen regarding anything aside from "who dunks the most in the NBA". Seeing asthough this thread has nothing to do with dunks I conclude that you have just submitted the dumbest argument I have ever seen.

Yeah, a dunk here and there. That's what makes me watch games

Didn't you get it already? We like the Spurs. And we like Tim Duncan. Anyone who likes basketball enjoys watching the Spurs play.

not everybody enjoys watching the Spurs play, obviously. the dunk argument is only an example, to show how very boring this team is to watch. they are like a wnba team, fundamentally sound, but boring to watch.

I just quoted that because it sounded so stupid. If you want dunks go watch Youtube videos, by your logic there's no such thing as boring teams but boring games, because there are some games where teams don't dunk at all regardless of how many total dunks they have in a season.

Now I have a big question mark in my mind . . .
Defense wins Championships buddy not dunks . . .

The Cavs are more boring to watch than the Spurs & when he's not getting dunked on, Lebron gets his fair share of dunks :|

No no. No no no no no. LeBron has never been dunked on, ever. Ever.

I always enjoy watching the Spurs. Watching teams like the Warriors does my head in. Literally makes me angry.

Why would Duncan bother to dunk when he can hit clutch three pointers.
