I'd have thought Patrick Ewing Jr would've been signed out of the D-League by now, seeing how close he was to making the cut in the pre-season.

It's not "Starbury" the Celtics particularly want or need though, that's the problem.


If there's any justice Andrew, I hope the Celtics get 'Starbury', the self-proclaimed 'best PG in the NBA'.

Contrary to the previous columns written by others, Peter May is lauding the signing. It seems one game proves a point these days.

Against the Pacers.
Without Danny Granger.

8 points in 13 minutes is just meh. Certainly meh for the best point guard in the league. He also turned the ball over 3 times and the Celtics were -7 when he was on the court.

He's going to have to do far better than that, and against far better opposition if the signing is going to be remotely worthwhile.

That's how it goes these days though. One game, usually the most recent, seems to stand as incontestable proof that Player X is a bust or Player X is a star, Team X won't win a championship or Team X will unquestionably win it all.
