Well I'm shocked. I'm gonna miss Chauncey for sure and I really have never been a huge Iverson fan, but this could be a good trade. Dice will be bought out and be back with the Pistons and if it doesn't work out we got Sheed and AI coming off the books after this year. That's 36 million in cap space opened up for next year. We'll see what happens I guess.

now they're saying that the iverson trade is just the first step for the pistons to acquire... LeBron James!!!

I'm very surprised this deal went through. I think Billups was much better for Detroit than what Iverson will be. As for getting LeBron James, good luck to them... people have been saying that he's already made up his mind on leaving the Cavs at the end of his contract.

I like the trade, Melo needs a veteran Point Guard to help him make his step to elite status, Iverson wasnt working out with us and to get Billups out of it is not that bad, Iverson hasnt looked good at all this season and with some added defense in Billups this should help the Nuggets. I never liked the Iverson deal from the start i always knew him and Melo wouldnt co-exsist.

Only problem i see from this is Melo having a big cry cos AI is gone as they became good friends. Just hope he doesnt want out also. I wonder if Karl will start JR Smith now.

Man, remember the last time the Pistons traded for a star? What's his name, Sheed?

It didn't cost them a former Finals MVP, then.

I love this trade. Billups is shit.

On a second thought, that's another bonus with this deal. Smith will probably start and be a star while Stuckey will get to have more minutes at the point as well. :)

Eight years on, Iverson finally goes to Detroit.

I guess Joe Dumars feels the Pistons have gone as far as they're going to with the lineup they had and wants to shake things up; Iverson in the short term, a high profile free agent in the long run. Risky, but I suppose they'll go with Stuckey at the point next year if AI doesn't re-sign.

The timing is what surprises me most, I wouldn't have thought such a blockbuster would be made within the first week of the season.

Well,it makes no Sense but still might be a good move,

Denver gets an Amazing pass-first Point Guard in Billups that can also be Clutch like Iverson, plus getting a Hustler in Antonio McDyess.

Detroit gets Firepower and hopes to Land LeBron to the Palace of Auburn Hills at 2010...

Damn,From a Pistons fans,Now Im a Nuggets/Pistons fan due to the BILLUPS trade...

If he ever suits up for them, since right now it appears he isn't willing to play for his old club.

Yeah its looking like Samb was included because its obvious Dyess will get bought out.
