Who said I was just looking at stats? Shaq realies on post ups close to the basket to get his points. That sounds good, right? Well that means there is an extra defender right around the basket for when he is trying to finish.

That's not good. It's not like they throw the ball into shaq, he draws 3 defenders, he passes to an open Amare and he scores. Alot of the time, Shaq gets in the way of what Phoenix wants to do offensively. We'll have to wait and see if the Suns coaches have been able to adjust their strategy to fit him.

Tyson Chandler and Marcus Camby don't require the delicate attention of throwing the ball into them to keep them interested in the game so it's not a fair comparison. I will say this though, Chandler is better at pick and rolls and getting to the rim to finish off an alley and Camby has a much more effective jumper then Shaq.

Right now, if I had a choice of those 3 big men, Shaq would be last. Easily.

Despite that, he still says if the Suns fail it's his fault.

I think Bynum will moving up in that list fairly soon.

Where is Eddy Curry?

Can we say that he's one of the worst centers that started last year. Counting only starters

I like how since the last post in this thread Shaq has had games of 29/11, 18/13 and 29/13/6.

Indeed, his numbers aren't anywhere near the ones he posted in his prime but they're up from the last couple of years. Perhaps that's why he's even mentioned a possible return to LA once his contract is up, after previously suggesting that he'd hang it up when his current deal expires. Of course, that's still a couple of years away and hardly seems a lock to happen.

I was interested by his comments after passing John Havlicek for 10th All-Time on NBA's scoring list....he definitely seemed annoyed at himself that he'd missed so many games throughout his career, & missed a tonne of FT's too....he probably now realises that making top 5 might be a stretch....

Not really, he needs less than 1000 points from here on to overtake Moses Malone and crack the top five, though without the missed games and free throws he'd be there already. If he plays most of this season he'll achieve it this year and if not, certainly next season.

Stop tasting my ass.

It's just that I'd say stuff, he'd say stuff. I think it was all designed by Phil (Jackson). Because if you think about it, Phil never called us into the office and said, ''Both of you all, shut the (heck) up.'' Never did that in four years. He knew that when I read something, I was going to get upset. And he knew Kobe was going to always come out and play hard. So I think it was all done by design.

I didn't know Shaq is a conspiracy nut as he gets older.
