Maybe that's why I can't stand the Lakers so much. You have Kobe and Shaq, why go and try and sign every old free agent superstar to win? Didn't Houston try and do that? They didn't win. I'm glad Phil Jax lost, simply fore the fact that I do not think he is the greatest coach of all time. He said he wouldn't coach anybody but the two best players in the league. From top to bottom the Lakers have more talent than the Spurs. They can talk all they want about the role players not stepping up... WHATEVER. Kobe was bricking everything in sight in that ass whooping of a fourth quarter. They even brought in different refs for that game. Why? Cause you've got biased refs making calls for Da Lake Show at home. They are not the dynasty that the Bulls were, and while they were the maybe the most likeable champs ever, they were, to me, the WEAKEST champs ever. They played the friggin Pacers, Sixers, and Nets in the finals! But at LEAST MY SPURS BEAT EM' UP THIS YEAR.

coz every team needs to improve

it seems these days that a great duo cant dominate anymore, its the deeper teams that seem to play better now

kings, mavs, spurs and pistons all have legit 6th man contenders, even some of the 7th men could go for it

kings have bobby jackson......plus keon clark, jim jackson, hedo turkoglu
Mavs have Nick Van Exel
Spurs have Manu Ginobili.........plus Malik Rose
Pistons have Corliss Williamson........plus Tayshaun Prince(who has come alive) even Chucky Atkins puts points up,Jon Barry,Mehmet Okur.

So why cant the lakers sign a vet or 2 to improve??
coz they have kobe and shaq.............dont make sense

and dont even bring up a refs thing, the spurs got plenty of calls going there way at Home

The Spurs may have gotten one or two calls at home, BUT THEY LET THEM PLAY THE FOURTH QUARTER. Shaq had 2 fouls as did Duncan as did Robinson. Shaq fouled out there, cause guess what??? SHAQ FOULS PEOPLE! Besides that c'mon , even a LAKERS FAN, JACK NICHOLSON SAID, "WE FINALLY HAVE GOOD REFS TONIGHT." They announcers have been talking about the refereeing at Staples all playoffs long. WHY DO YOU THINK THEY HAD DIFFERENT REFS FOR THAT GAME? Besides that, Devean George is a solid player, as is Jannero Pargo, Kareem Rush, Maddog Madsen, Brian Shaw and Robert Horry. George, Horry and Shaw could still start somewhere else. Imagine if the Spurs had Duncan and Paul Pierce or Vince or TMac or Ray Allen!! That's what LA has. If Shaq and Kobe are so great, they will make the players around them better, not go get better players. That is what Duncan has done. Malik Rose got cut by the Charlotte Hornets. Ginobili just plays with heart. and Parker is good. Other than that, the only good player is DRob, and he sucks ass now. Shaq was bitch slapping him around the lane all series long. Mike Jordan had Scottie and DRod, but other than that ... Randy Brown?? Jud Bucheler?? Steve Kerr?? Will Perdue?? I'm struggling to remember the late 90's Bulls great bench. Cause Mike made those guys around him better. Just like Penny and Shaq Did in Orlando. LA should sign PJ Brown and keep everyone else except for Samaki Walker. He sucks!!! They finally got beat and now they wanna go try and buy a bunch of old stars for one last run. That's pathetic. The Spurs basically have a new team since they last won a ring, and the only big free agent they signed was TDuncan. What if he had went 2 Orlando? The Lakers would have gotten an ass whupping every year in the Finals. They need to SUCK IT UP and stop bitching,

I hope Kobe goes to Washington but that probably isn't going to happen.

Why would you want Kobe go to east, he can't win Champ in there.

Lakers lost this year is because they played bad plus Fox, George and Fisher(in game 5) were all injuryed, not because Spurs played well.

Who knows who will go to Lakers next year, I think it depends on Kobe and Phil, if Kobe decide to leave, then there will be more money for LA to get another superstar plus some decent supporting casts, if Phil retires, then Shaq won't stay either. But I do not think Kobe will leave, he said that he only want to play at LA when he was drafted. Anyway, I don't expect to see alot of big change next year, the most they will get is two new players and a rookie. They only have $4 million extral right now, and who wants Fox, Horry and Madson.

I know, most of you feel Phil is a moron just cause went to Los Angeles after he got idolized in Chicago.

Yes, for some reason they were the champs and not your bulls/spurs, yeah, show some bandwagon.

Ceasar121 wrote:What if he had went 2 Orlando? The Lakers would have gotten an ass whupping every year in the Finals.

No, that would be too bad for Orlando since you can't think T-mac was going to be averaging over 30 per game with TDuncan there, or that those 2 were going to be healthy, many things happen when you get stars like those together, specially if there's only one ball.

, yeah, those are very solid, I mean, they are human right?

Ceasar121 wrote:George, Horry and Shaw could still start somewhere else.

 , yeah, even the nuggets or Cavs would release Shaw but still he can start if 8 of the 12 are injured.

, stop crying, the spurs won.

Now, that's a weak & an unsupported comment, you don't show the real talent you are talking about but come and show your hate for the Lakers, I really feel satisfied knowing that the Lakers made most of people's live misserable (of course including yours) for so many years, as you were praying for someone else to get a chance that way you could come and say you were a fan of that team.

That's probably another reason there's so much anti-Laker sentiment. When the Lakers lose, it's never because the other team played well, it's because the Lakers played bad.
