RJ's a consistent scorer, yeah, but Kidd was the one generating the offense. The Nets lost games because their frontcourt was weak, and their bench was weaker.

Because he was the Nets only capable player that could carry the ball and initiate the offense. Vince Carter can do that but he was too busy slacking off settling for jumpers. As good as a scorer Jefferson is, he's no ballhandler. I think even Dirk is better than him in handling the ball.
Being in New Jersey leaves Kidd with no other alternatives and it shows in his horrible shooting percentage and turnovers, if you call those contributions "carrying the team" then by all means you are right.
