Javaris > Smush all day, everyday.

I don;t like the Lakers or Heat, but the only good I see coming out of Smush leaving/signing with Miami is Javaris is gonna work his way into the starting role very quickly. He's already quite alot better than any other point gaurd on that roser - and he's considered a project.

lol....like i said...up there....Smush is a D-League Player......

Sun Jul 29, 2007 5:07 am

may be he will play good with shaq, and flash, who knows? who could think biut moore progress? or carrol?

Sun Jul 29, 2007 8:59 am

Yeah maybe if you blend him with the big 2 who knows?Maybe he will play better.

kobe < wade , as a teammate
so looks like mush is happy now
expect farmar and fisher to be extremely unhappy next season
kobe's the worst teammate u can ask for, and itz sad fisher asked for it

Mon Jul 30, 2007 9:19 am

Fisher asked for it because he knows what to expect. Kobe cant say ANYTHING to Fisher... They played on three championship teams together - 2 of which they might not have even gotten to the finals without him. Fisher is a solid defender, and consistent shooting threat, and by default is now the best pg on that roster. Kobe is a bit of a jerk as a teammate, but he's not an idiot. Fisher is in the driver's seat of that relationship, lol.

Farmer, good guard, but needs one more year. This is where fisher comes in. He will learn the correct way to play point in the triangle O behind Fisher, and be ready for full-time work next year.

i can think of a ton of other nba players who make a worse teammate than kobe. thats gotta be one of the dumbest things i have ever seen

I hate Smush.

What a horrible signing. All of the Heat nation cries out in despair...

Mon Jul 30, 2007 3:54 pm

I remember back in the day when Smush was on the Cavaliers, and they didn't have a warmup shootaround before the game. Instead they all threw the ball off the backboard and tried to dunk it for ten minutes.

He was one of the better players on the team at that stuff...

For the past 4 months, there's still NO NEWS on gary payton wether he will retire or not.I saw some blogs saying:"Smush's signing with the Heat means payton is no longer wanted".I dont know about that.

Tue Jul 31, 2007 10:37 am

I don't know about Payton being unwanted but it seems like the kind of move they'd make if they anticipated The Glove retiring.

Wed Aug 01, 2007 6:32 pm

Well if i was the GM,i will not lose him. He's considered a legend.

Thu Aug 02, 2007 7:55 am

MJ is a legend, but you don't see him playing, right?

Thu Aug 02, 2007 8:34 am

yup.
With signing Smush I think it's pretty obvious that he'll retire. I think hes happy now, having a ring.

Thu Aug 02, 2007 8:39 am

personally i would try to keep him for one more season, if he was willing to take a lessened role and help tutor smush a bit. also smush has to want to learn from him. never hurts to have someone like payton showing you the tricks of the game.

If he wants to retire then the Heat don't really have a say in the matter.

keeping him for an extra season could also provide a bit of mentorship (is that a word?) for smush

Thu Aug 02, 2007 7:20 pm

Smush said in his conference that he and j-will will battle for the starting spot

Fri Aug 03, 2007 12:59 am

Smush also said blew this stinker out of his ass:

I came to the Heat for the chance to bring a championship back to Miami. We have all the right pieces in place. Whatever they want me to do, I'll do. I'll be a floor leader, a coach on the floor. I'm a point guard; the offense and defense starts with me

He honestly believes hes good enough to make that big of an impact. Oh lord, learn how to run an offence first.

Fri Aug 03, 2007 3:15 am

like i said before, the is clearly the biggest signing of the off season. cant believe boston went after kg when they could have just signed smush

Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:51 am

I hope Williams uses all his white-boy power to kick Smush onto a bench scrub role.

Or, he just stays healthy and Smush will be sitting around on the bench.

Fri Aug 03, 2007 8:19 am

did smush really come out and say he is going to challenge williams for the starting slot? what kind of shit is that to say? talk about destroying any hope of team chemistry right away

Fri Aug 03, 2007 8:44 am

yeah..but didnt he have attitude problems before too?
hah..he's not gonna take jwills spot..i'd rather see him behind quinn

Fri Aug 03, 2007 9:33 am

Boy, what's gonna happen next? Challenging Shaq for starting at center? Fighting Pat Riley for the coaching job? What a guy.
