Houston Rockets offseason moves

The Rockets need two things to be a top team.

1. An athletic PF who can score
2. A reliable veteran PG who can take the pressure off T-Mac to get the offense started. Must be able to get into the paint and create.

1. New coach(adelman, carlisle etc...)
2. Try to sign maurice williams
3. Trade rafer, head, howard for a starting pf
4. Keep bonzi(jvg is the culprit here!)

The guy was a nutcase on every team he played on and came to Houston out of shape (I think). As big of a fan of his game I am, there's no knocking the fact that the guy's got a few screws loose to be playing in the NBA.

I'll move Mo Williams, he is a very good player..

Having Yao, Battier, Tmac and Mo will really solify them as a team with prob 1 of da best starting lineup...

but then again, i prefer a low key veteran pg, daniel is perfect ( he is quite athletic as well ) and Haywood, can he play PF, he seems like a true center...

Chuck Hayes is a perfectly good starter. I mean, there's only one ball and T-Mac & Yao seem to have a good handle with the scoring. What they need is someone under the basket doing all the dirty work to get the ball if they miss. I know Yao's 7'5" and obviously a good rebounder as a result, but he's slow as fuck... you saw how he got beat to all the long rebounds from Okur's 3s. Boozer got to all of those misses with ease.

imo, all signs point to the point (guard position)

I say they give Spanoulis a shot (a legit one, not 1 minute in garbage time) or trade for a vet.

i say sign jamison brewer... naw..just kidding.. what i think is they should really get a power forward who can really clean the glass well.. has size.. not much offense but a good passer down low for the double teams.. great defense.. quickness around the glass..

Yeah, I heard he was offered something like 8 million a year and turned that down. Talk about an inflated ego after the playoffs. Oh well, Sacramento isn't crying over spilled milk and once they decide whether they're rebuilding their team around Martin or keeping their larger contracts and big name players, they'll be a very potent team.

Houston has quite a few holes to fill. Outside of T-Mac and Yao they don't get a good scoring punch. Alston is a decent back up guard but seeing him play in a few Rockets games it seems like he hasn't changed his three point jacking out of control play from his days in Toronto. Head can't run plays for shit and is basically an undersized two guard. Their point guard position is probably as big of a hole as their weakness at the power foward spot.

Mo Will would be a good pick up. But to beat out the Bucks the rockets would have to offer $8-9 million for 4 years plus IMHO. Maybe organise a sign and trade. Mo for Luther Head + filler and a first?

Definitely would be a good pick up though, especially if Adelman is coach. But I think the Bucks will keep him unless we get Durant.
