lol, tis the truth Sonic, tis the truth :)

I'm not trying to start a war with you or anything just having fun in the forums... :D

so this post won't look like spam:

C- Prygodzilla(I don't remember his real name)
PF- A.Mason
SF- D.Mason/Thomas
SG- Redd/D.Mason
PG- Payton

not bad at all but they still have the same problem - lack of post presence and added a couple more - either Thomas or Redd will have to be benched and might slow down their 'development' ...unless Thomas is swtiched to PF and A.Mason is benched...
Can Payton and Georgie get along considering that Payton vouched for Karl to be fired during their Seattle days...

I think the sonics have benefited from their trading. They got a great player in ray allen.

C-Elden Campbell
Pf-Vladmir Radmonovic
Sf-Rashard Lewis
Sg-Ray Allen
Pg-Brent Barry

Thats not a bad starting 5.

The hornets also did well since they already have magloire(sp?), and since Baron Davis is hurt.

The Bucks did pretty good, but if Payton won't resign, it wont be worth it for the bucks.

so they have Barry playing PG... :!: and who's his backup?

i can't believe they traded Mason...idiots

at center they now have - Potapenko,James,Przybilla, and Calvin I_Can't_Remember_His_Last_Name...yeah all first class centers...idiots

not to mention Drobnjak and now Campbell...my god half of their roster are centers...what i don't get is why didn't they try to give away some of these guys. I thought they tried to trade Radmanovic just to get rid of them

this is so stupid

the Sonics management showed how stupid they are. They not just got rid of Payton but of his back up as well, lol. It's not that the deal was not even but now they have no PG at all.

You guess right, they will try to make Brent Barry a PG, just like Phil Jackson made R. Harper, but notice that Harper never stopped being a SG, so I guess this will be the case there for the Sonics.

C- Prygodzilla(I don't remember his real name)
PF- A.Mason
SF- D.Mason/Thomas
SG- Redd/D.Mason
PG- Payton

Are you forgetting someone?? If it's me, I would have this starting line-up:

C - A. Mason (Karl likes the 3 forwards rotation)
PF - Tim Thomas
SF - Michael Redd (he should stay here for a while)
SG - Gary Payton (I guess he can play the AI role)
PG - Sam Cassel

And the bench:
Toni Kukoc - He's gonna back up mostly forward positions like he's been doing so and occasionally the center position
Desmond Mason - spells GP and Redd

Hmm...who's the backup PG??
Well, they've got two of the top ten PG's in the league and two quality point-forwards, they will share those minutes.

Damn, I gotta say this is one deep team.

mason is too small at C and his playing style haven't been that amazing since he joined the bucks...
tim thomas might still be soft for the PF position...

...but they are in the Eastern Conference...

Cassell and Payton at the same time? might work...just hope none of them hogs the ball too long...

Go away for two days and see what i miss!?

tsk tsk...barnsey no like...no like at all...

Seattle gave away both of their Point guards? WTF? what's up with that...

Milwaukee have overcrowded Gurads now. and are going to try and get two stars to share the point gurad posi? barnsey no like...

Well, if there wasn't a trade deadline...then i could think of one logical trade for tommorow:...
Milwaukee's Payton and Mason for Seattle's Allen, murray and ollie ...

As explained elsewhere, I haven't been able to log into the NLSC until now. The situation is being dealt with.

As for the trade itself...well, really, I didn't expect GP to be traded, nor Allen. I was surprised the Sonics traded both GP and Anderson, leaving shooting guards to run the point most of the time (I don't see Ollie starting ahead of Barry or Allen). I despite GP's age and Allen's game, I feel that the Bucks got the better end of the deal with GP (whose resume is impressive) and Desmond Mason.

Once Karl starts understanding the value of the Dutch Dan, he'll start him again at C.

Dan Gadzuric
A. Mason
Thomas
Redd
Payton

I think that would be their best lineup. Cassel off the bench (and trade him in the offseason)

i don't know, but maybe Seattle has tried to get more salary cap and try to get Kidd this summer. That's why they got rid of all their PGs. It's a thought.

It's a good point but I don't think the Nets will let Kidd leave. Karl just said he will use Cassell & Payton at the same time, I guess he will let Cassell play as a SG. He said Michael Redd sucess is not the reason for the trade they just did, so he would keep using Redd coming from the bench.

If GP Re-signs with Milwaukee in the offseason, Tim Thomas might as well pack his bags in my opinion. Seeing that they have gotten a rising star in D-Mase, they are really loaded with Guards and Small Forwards.

I like Gadzuric too but the Bucks Big Men are frankly horrendous. Ervin Johnson's only a starter because his ugliness is an intimidation factor. I Like Mason who is instant 8 & 8 but he isn't blocking many shots and he must lead the league in shots blocken(Catagory H. Pollack made up)

Also Kevin Ollie as a starter...yuck, Sure he has a 5.27:1 turnover ration leading the league...Actually thinking about it he might be a nice addition after all. Ray Allen will finally get Superstar Touches instead of watching his point guard run down, back down and shoot up(Cassell).

I do believe the Bucks are really nice with that team now, but they better keep Cassell happy, if not that might become a terrible headache for the organization.

I might be wrong, but the size of Thomas is not anymore to play SF. He should be playing PF instead, so no reason to leave the team.

I didn't get well what you meant there. You meant Mason getting his shots blocked or mason blocking shots?, lol. Mason size is not going to let him lead any league in block shots, so I don't think that's a must.

Yeah I meant he gets his shots blocked. Tim Thomas can play the PF but look at his game, He stands on the perimeter to either catch & shoot, catch & slash, or catch & travel.

And not a very logical one. If they were trying to get Kidd, they should've kept Payton and just dealt Anderson for Campbell, seeing as that would clear cap space, dealing expiring Payton wouldn't.
scub wrote:It's a good point but I don't think the Nets will let Kidd leave

It's not their choice.
maja wrote:Also Kevin Ollie as a starter...yuck

I'm pretty sure Kevin Ollie will not be starting. Brent Barry will be. However, Ollie could earn bonus points if he plays some scrapping hardworking defense.
