Well... Kobe does play 41.0MPG compared to a Raja Bell who plays 37.5MPG, and when it comes to playoffs or important games Kobe is likely to play longer, and Raja will probably play the same amount as he is now, and don't forget... he doesn't always play at the same time as Kobe does.

Kobe:
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Field-Goal Attempts Per 48 Minutes(31.83)
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Field Goal Attempts(2173.0)

Kobe is #1 in fga and Lebron being 2nd, but Lebron is around 200fga's behind Kobe. I mean damn... who takes 31-32fga/48min? He is shooting .450 while Lebron is shooting .480. What I am trying to say is, even though Lebron shoots less than Kobe, he shoots a better percentage, but plays longer.

So... Lebron is doing better in my eyes because he does the right thing and gets higher % shots than Kobe because all Kobe does is jack up 3s from like 28ft.

Not saying Kobe is bad, but I personalyl think if Kobe decided to pass a little bit more, it would do the team better. If he were to pass up 1-3 more shots per game, than that would be better, because another teammate could be having a wide open shot due to the double rushing Kobe, or a higer % sho near the Key or even in the lane.

Raja was just used as a defensve specalist back then

And They don't call Kobe a bad shooter they say he shoots a bad percentage

Lol, thats all he does, aye?

And They don't call Kobe a bad shooter they say he shoots a bad percentage

Yeah 30% is a much better percentage

Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:23 pm

Like I said DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST plus he hadn't even established his offensive game back then

Matt, that was 5 years ago. Today, Raja Bell is THIRD in the league in 3pt %

Like I said, Bell isn't going to stop Kobe. He's going to keep him under 81, I can tell ya that much.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:25 pm

Defensive specialist? Look at what kobe did to him in that series, and you tell me he was a "defensive specialist"

What I am trying to say is, even though Lebron shoots less than Kobe, he shoots a better percentage, but plays longer.

If you shoot less then, unless you are a crappy shooter, you probably should shoot a better percentage.
Kobe about a week ago: "I don't even think about Raja... I've got bigger fish to fry. You've got to be kidding me."

Bell replied :"Well, you know, I think that's pretty retarded of him to say.If he's got bigger fish to fry, then why am I on his mind? Kobe is a great player, but I guess he thinks his talent somehow translates into being a tougher person... And I will challenge him on that any time he wants."

Raja doesn't make sense there.... Kobe says he doesn't think about Raja and then Raja says that he is on Kobe's mind. Whoever said that Raja makes sense should probably rethink...

You can't compare a Kobe who is an all-star and leading scorer this season to like what? A 3rd year Bell?

These players are just different from eachother and have different roles on different teams.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:29 pm

WHy not? We're holding them to the same standard.

WTF did you even watch that series ? oh yea your just looking up stats from the NBA finals from 5 years ago you win Matt you win

Raja Bell was signed by Philly for defensive purposes

Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:32 pm

I've got all those games on tape, I was cheering for Philly big time. I also remember Bell was signed when George Lynch broke his foot, and was signed out of desperation, not becuase of his defense.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:36 pm

Eh you can't tell me they signed him for another year just because of Lynch's foot

Sat Apr 22, 2006 2:37 pm

This makes it a bit interesting.

I wonder what Bell will say after Kobe roasts him.

Probably something along the lines of, "Yeah Kobe pwned me but we still won the series."

As much of a Suns fan i am, please give up rongotai, your embarrasing both yourself, and Suns fans.

Your from Australia and you support Duke and Phoenix ?

Sat Apr 22, 2006 3:21 pm

You want to see a real defender? Watch Trenton Hassell. He's the NBA's clean Bruce Bowen.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 3:35 pm

This is simple....
Kobe talks and backed it up during the regular season games.
Raja talks but hasn't been close to "hovering kobe with his excellent defense".

Advantage: Kobe.

You're from New Zealand and you support Phoenix? Huge fan ever since 2005 I'm guessing.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 3:53 pm

Raja is probably another Ruben. Kobe-stopper... :?

Sat Apr 22, 2006 4:24 pm

I'm a big fan of Raja's game, but you're an idiot if you think he'll hold down Kobe.

What he may do is force Kobe to work a little harder and maybe tire him out a little. So Kobe will probably play worse defence and has a small chance of getting worse towards the end of the series. But the latter is unlikely because a game 6 or 7 would give him more than enough extra adrenaline to keep going.

Nope 03 actually

Suns Spurs in the playoffs

Sat Apr 22, 2006 5:17 pm

yeah, obviously kobe didn't get 51 etc. on raja. what kind of idiot would think he scored every one of those on raja? that's like saying 'well shaq scored 30 that game against starting center ben wallace, but wallace played 4 minutes and shaq scored 2 on him' obviously kobe got 30's or so on Raja, but that hardly matters. Look at whoever the hell was supposed to guard him on january 22. And these other high scoring games. Point is, Kobe will get his points, Suns just gotta let him go and "fry the bigger fish" and trash the Lakers, which they will, in 4 or 5 games.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 5:20 pm

raja is a loser scrub that wouldnt be anything without nash.. hes a crybaby.

Sat Apr 22, 2006 5:24 pm

rofl. ok. u ever seen raja cry? how would you know?
