D. Wade 3 point shooting progress in his 3 years n the league:
1st season: 16/53-30%
2nd season: 13/45-29%
3rd season: 4/40-10%
And M. Albert in NBA live says that he has iproved his perimeter shooting since entering the league. :D don't see the progress, or in other words, can't hit, don't shoot.

You don't watch many of his games, obviously. His jumpshooting has improved immensely inside the 3pt line.. when he first entered the league he couldn't shoot midrange at all. Now his midrange shot is really good.. and that's why he ends up getting to the free throw line so much.

it's probably a good thing his 3's aren't great, that means he'll keep attacking the hoop and not settle for the outside jumper like so many great prospects before him (Y)

Tue Jan 24, 2006 1:23 am

Well why is he taking so many 3p shots? If he takes 40 three-pointers, he has to hit more than 4.

Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:04 am

4-40 is attrocious.....but, that means he averages 1 3pnt attempt a game...so if he goes 0-1 it's not that bad. If he was 30-40 people would be labelling him the best shooter.

I think he's a 30% shooter, as his previous 2 season indicate.

i've seen quite a bit of heat games this year, and a lot of his attempts are off balance three's or half court heaves at half time, or at the end of the quarter etc. regardless though, he's still not a great 3 point shooter -- but he knows what his strengths are. he rarely goes for the 3 point shot.

For 3 pointers, I looked at some shot displays of Kobe and he attempts like 2-3 27 footers a game. It's amazing he actually hit some of them every night but I think he just takes it to far. (N)

He's only been playing for three years maybe with a little bit more expeirience he'll get better at three point shooting. As for now he's an absolutly great player, has some nice dunks too...

It's early days but Danny Granger's play continues to suggest the Pacers will be fine without Artest. 21 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks against the Cavaliers tonight, including a big three to take the lead late. The Cavs prevailed but a great game for Granger.

How about Nocioni? How the HELL do you become a 50% three point shooter from a year before of 25%

Sun Jan 29, 2006 3:42 am

The Cavs are 4-0 when LeBron wears those sucky tights (especially the whites (N))

Good thread...bron and company barely pulled that one out of their asses lastnight. Stat...bron is 2 - 15 on last second game winning shots. The dude kept missing free throws at the end....he just cant seem to be clutch.

Rookie year jitters, Nocioni is an accurate spot-up shooter.

At Tau Ceramica Nocioni shot 50.6% from the field and 40% from the 3 point line. He's more comfortable this year, although i'm sure the 50% 3 point will go down eventually.

Random Stat:

Andrew Bynum ranks 7th in blocks per 48 minutes. :o

Fri Feb 03, 2006 9:46 pm

I'm just bumping my thread because I don't want it do die....

so random stat talk from a Kiwi about old mate Sean....

November: 3 games, 9.0mins/game, 1.0ppg, 1.3rpg, 25.0% FG
December: 3 games, 4.0mins/game, 2.7ppg, 0.7rpg, 50.0% FG
January: 4 games, 8.5mins/game, 4.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 50.0% FG
February: 2 games (out of 2), 13.5mins/game, 7.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 46.2% FG

as you can see, his averages have increased each month....with Duncan & Horry's on-going injuries, he's a benefactor....one could argue that he's only getting minutes in crunch time, but looking at the last 2 games, wins over Portland by 4pts & Warriors by 3pts, maybe Sean might finally make the team's playoff roster & earn that ring
8-)

anyone else notice any other random facts, whether players individually or teams as a whole?!?

Fri Feb 03, 2006 10:05 pm

I don't know why Sean isn't getting more minutes. He's a good player. Pop gives the minutes to Oberto who is a bum. That guy can't shoot, can't rebound and plays really bad defense.....Marks is a good shooter, a better passer & rebounder and a way better defender.

AK47 & the Jazz hold Sacramento to ZERO baskets in the 4th quarter.

That's just ugly.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 4:40 pm

That's just a tremendous effort by the Jazz, to outscore them 34-12 as well.
