Bobby Simmons wins MIP

good for simmons. i'm happy for the guy. out of the big 3 recruits that depaul landed way back when (lance williams, bobby simmons, quentin richardson), simmons had a decent all round game but i never thought he'd make it in the NBA, especially when he left depaul early and really didn't distinguish himself.

from 2nd round pick to this. he's due for a big pay day.

i thought it was a little silly for the TNT guys to ask him how much michael jordan had an influence on Simmons. c'mon :roll:

matt- breakout player of the year is almost the same as MIP imo. it would be redundant.

now that the award has been given, i was thinking-wouldn't winning the ROY disqualify Lebron James from MIP consideration?

Since going to NJ, Carter has averaged like 10 more ppg
