I can see it working out. At least we'll see less Harden iso's, and Harden will have easier looks created for him by CP3. Will no longer see Harden lead the league in assists, and the Rockets could potentially make even more threes than this past season.

Yessir. Imagine harden-cp3 and vice versa pick and rolls

Cp3 though is anti dantoni as he is a midrange killer. I'm sure pringles can adjust

People forget he is also a very good 3 point shooter as well. I also remember Nash taking floaters in the lane and pulling up around the free throw line when necessary. I see this working out well for them. They are a scary team with all these 3 point shooters and Clint capela will be lob city 2.0

People say that Harden needs the ball in his hands to be effective, which is true. However, I think people are greatly exaggerating his ability to play a bit more off-ball. He managed to play pretty effectively with guys like Westbrook and Durant in he past. I think the days of Harden stuffing the stat sheet on a nightly basis might be over but great players will always find ways to be effective, as cliche as that sounds.

I still think they need one more big off-season acquisition to really ascend to that "superteam" status that seems to be all the craze these days.

Carmelo Anthony, perhaps? It's fair to say that it's been established that he's not a franchise player, but he's still a really good scorer who can rebound and play adequate defense when he tries (certainly no worse than Harden). He had a good run when paired up with Chauncey Billups, and while he is older now, he's still putting up numbers and has been relatively healthy.

Also, if he's going somewhere to be a part of a superteam, I'd rather it be Houston than Golden State or Cleveland.

I think when you just look at it on paper Melo is a great idea, but I'm not sure if he was the biggest fan of playing under D'Antoni.

I think Harden's bitching is somewhat justified though. Howard isn't exactly the most effective post player and did not want to just be a lob machine a la Clint Capela where he'd be most effective.

I'd be pissed too if I was playing with someone who kept trying to go to things that are clearly not part of his game. YOU HEAR ME JOHN, I"M SICK OF WATCHING YOU IN MY REC LEAGUE GAMES FUCKING UP THE OFFENCE BY STUMBLING AROUND LIKE A PARAPLEGIC ELEPHANT IN THE POST!!!

Not speaking from experience or anything....

I think Melo would be a great 3rd best player. In the Olympics, he was very good with defensive attentions diverted away from him. His ability to hit open shots is nice and he's a nice catch and shoot guy. Perhaps playing with better players than himself makes him better.

Good point btw, yeah, Harden had no trouble shining with KD & Westy. Maybe he can return to playing some D too.
