"The Bulls lost their Rose, but found their Valentine."

Quote of the 2016 Draft right there. Makes up for the fact we no longer have David Stern's trolling.

The Grizz will select Wade Baldwin IV. It looks like Conley's stint is as good as done.

Chicago Bulls were so sad about trading Derrick Rose that they wanted to draft his knees all over again in the form of Denzel Valentine.

They realized Adams and Kanter were enough but they needed better guard play to match up with the Warriors

It's a shame our 7'6" center Mamadou N'Diaye left waaaay too early after teams lied to him about his position in the draft. It was obvious that he would not get picked and he should've stayed in school for his senior year. He'll get a look somewhere because of his height but he's got a long road ahead of him.

That Ibaka trade really came out of nowhere. I'm kinda sad to see him go, but at the same time Oladipo and Sabonis are exciting additions.

I wonder if we'll see more of Durant and/or Roberson playing at PF next season as part of a small-ball line-up for OKC.

King Mellow, you said "The Grizz will select Wade Baldwin IV. It looks like Conley's stint is as good as done."

That's literally saying that they're replacing Conley in your terms.

PS: Next time you call somebody a kid, make sure you're not a 13 year old behind a computer screen.

Yeah, totally unexpected.

I guess they figured traditional PF is not the way to go especially with Durant and Roberson being able to cover 4. They are still able to play big small ball as everyone's quite tall for their position just as Warriors.

air gordon wrote:How about that gutsy move by the thunder

gutsy indeed. Perhaps an attempt to convince KD to stay?

Jaylen Brown? We knew who the top 2 picks were gonna be so 3rd is quite interesting. He seems to be modern era wing that can play 2 to 4. Except that he has no shooting touch though might be something teachable.

Shucks the Heat have no pick this year.

The Thunder just gave up their best shooter...according to Reggie Miller, anyway.

From all accounts, an underwhelming Draft for the Celtics. Tough to figure out what Ainge is doing, there. One would think that he'd be looking to bolster the roster with players with the potential to have an impact sooner rather than later, instead of stashing future assets.

Re: NBA Draft Day 2016 aka The Sixers NBA Finals

Fri Jun 24, 2016 6:46 pm

The Celtics already have nine players under contract, almost all of them rotation guys. Plus Brown. Plus two more if they keep Amir and Jonas Jerebko. That'll still leave them with $30+ million in cap space.

We should let go Amir (big contract, small impact).I'm fine with Jaylen. He looks quite exciting.Only thing I'm wondering is if we start Jaylen or Jae (or KD if he comes).Or hell we go small and start one of them at PF

It seems like they are being proactive in order to show Durant that they want to improve the team, instead of just resting on their laurels after almost beating the Warriors.

Apparently Ibaka was unhappy in OKC. So if that is true and he was going to leave in a year anyway, then this is a great trade by Sam Presti.

I wonder if they have any way to get the cap room needed to go after Ryan Anderson? He would be an interesting option at PF for them.
