Is Ronny Turiaf healthy? Because i thought i saw him in uniform but not playing.
Mon Dec 13, 2010 8:36 am
Ronny Turiaf is not healthy, he has a bum knee right now.
Knicks 8 straight, beat a decent team but once again without playing any defense. Now Wednesday they play Boston at home, televised on ESPN

so I get to see the game. 10 game win streak vs. an 8 game win streak, should be interesting.

With all due respect I'm picking the Celtics in that one, but I've got to hand it to the Knicks. D'Antoni's system may have a ceiling on how far it can take a team, but they've been making it work the past eight games. Felton's gamewinner the other day may be buzzer beater of the year when it's all said and done, that was a ridiculously friendly rim.

Yeah guys, it'll be a great game or at least it should be between celtics and knicks. I'm looking forward to the point gaurd battle between Raymond Felton and Rajon Rondo, who will perform better overall. I think in order for the knicks to beat the celtics, Felton is going to have to get more than his average in assists, hopefully Ameri will keep up the scoring that he's been doing, both knicks small forwards have to score at least 15 points, if that's even possible.
I don't know how Stoudemire is going to handle all of the celtics bigs, i hope he'll have a good night. I don't think Paul Pierce will score any more than 12-15 points, but as you said Andrew, the celtics should win. I'm picking them out of respect as well.

Memo to Donnie Walsh - do not trade for Carmelo Anthony(I don't want to lose Landry Fields). Sign him after the season as a free agent. Amar'e & Carmelo with the team we have now could be dangerous.

That's true about the trade, we don't want to give up Gallinari either because he's a good shooter.

I was thinking that too. Fields seems to me that his career will waste away in Denver. Just get that feeling. I like Fields also, liked his selection as a 2nd Rounder even though most questioned who the guy was. They forget he led PAC-10 (albeit a weakened one last season) in scoring.
What's your thoughts on Chandler? You want to see him stick round also? If you've got Melo, Chandler, Fields & a shooter then you're set at the wing positions.
I got no issues them giving up Gallinari, Randolph/1st Rd pick (whichever it is) etc. Would like to see them keep some core role players though.

Carmelo's a top-five NBA player, so Chandler will have to be included. I'd hate to see him go.

If he's as keen to join the Knicks at it seems, that'd definitely be the way to go. Finally a positive for Eddy Curry's contract: it ends this offseason, giving them cap room to work with again.

Tough loss to the Celtics. If only Amar'e had a split-second more....
I felt the Knicks got robbed. If you look at the replay of Pierce's shot, the ball goes thru the hoop with 0.6 left enough time for Amar'e to take the same shot and make it count. According to the rules, the clock should have stopped after Pierce's shot.
Fri Dec 17, 2010 9:39 am
Watching it again, you may be right. I'd like to see someone through a timer on there, in slow motion if necessary, just to see how long it took Amar'e to catch and shoot it. An extra 0.2 seconds might just have been enough.

Agreed, I was surprised they didn't put a lil time back on the clock

Can't the coaches ask for replay in that situation?

I thought so too when I first saw that. Why didn't the clock stop at .6?
Sat Dec 18, 2010 8:47 am
Agreed, I knew something wasn't right, on TV it seemed like an extra secs ticked off

Yep, that's usually the first thing coaches ask for. With 0.4 seconds there wasn't enough time to catch & shoot, they needed to lob to hoop & tip in ala Bogut.
Sat Dec 18, 2010 9:52 am
It looked like Amar'e thought there was more time on the clock, he didn't go for a super-quick release like Derek Fisher, when he burned the Spurs.

Knicks lead the league in blocks. They could be decent defensively if it wasn't for the coaching staff. Team defense does wonders.
...and can the Knicks STOP with the stupid green uniforms already????

Ask again after St Paddy's Day

Knicks will trade for Igoudala not for Anthony
That was a great game with the Magic!!!

The Rooster sprained his knee, he said it doesn't hurt that it's just discomfort. Still probably going to miss atleast a week. I've sprained my knee before and I was limping for about 3 weeks. Couldn't run either, but they have trainers and stuff in the NBA, I just had had the high school nurse.

Gallinari's out 2-3 weeks. Couldn't come at a worse time. After the Spurs tonight, Knicks go on a tough four-game West Coast trip.

Let's see if Anthony Randolph finally gets some time.

Great win last night - 31 points and 9 boards for Chandler. Let's hope Knicks can carry the momentum on this road trip.

Knicks are going down!
