He's a good find, a fast guard, well he's 5'9" and...a decent playmaker/3 pt shooter, they should stop chunking up the salary available to pay so they can get a decent SF.

Heat loses to Detroit in pre-season game 86-103.
Sat Oct 13, 2007 11:13 am
What a disappointing pre-season.As of now they're trailing by 20 to
ORL.

What's with signing all of these point guards? If you have Antoine Walker playing significant minutes for your team you know you have some serious holes in your rotation.
Sat Oct 13, 2007 1:31 pm
Woah,heat lose 69-102.
Sat Oct 13, 2007 2:53 pm
Wow, the Heat will DEFINITELY make the playoffs.

Yep, it's written in stone. Seriously, like what Its_asdf said, why sign all the PG's in the world (like guaranteed MVP Smush Parker) and not fill up any other glaring holes in the starters. Good thing for them Wade is not a whiny bitch, or else he'd be asking out of town by now.

The problem is that they aren't even bad enough to be tanking. They look like a 40-42 club or something like that to me.

Heat lose again 76-92 to cats.Ouch.

Look at the box score and you will see that that score means absolutely nothing.
Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:35 pm
but it shows that the Heat bench is really weak......

Shaq was injured in this game?!?Why did riley let him play!

pre-season games are meanless, the only reason they are there for is if there are doubts about players in rosters, running the bench and just players getting a run. if u think its serious how about LeBron only getting 15mins a game? wen he usually gets like 42.

The Suns doesn't seem to think that way.

And they still lost....
It takes a hell of a lot for the Suns to bring in anyone who isnt in their immediate 8-man rotation.
I remember them leading a game by 30 in the final quarter last season. D'Antoni waited until until there was 90 seconds left before commencing garbage time.

I would assume because the season is fast approaching and they want to be in good form when the regular season begins. An injury during the pre-season is obviously unfortunate but even if Shaq had elected to sit out the pre-season, he might have still suffered an injury on opening night. It's a risk all players face when they step onto the court, simply due to the nature of the sport. Ankles are going to be rolled and players are going to come off the worse for wear after bad collisions.

You act like they are playoff bound or something

teams like the Bucks, Bobcats, Knicks & possibly even the Hawks have surpassed them

Yeah...but remember they did win the title last 2006.It's mainly about their health.A healthy team has a good chance on winning a title.

yes, it is mainly due to their health....if Wade is 100% healthy this season (a big if), he can probably scrape them into playoffs....Shaq isn't healthy either....I don't know, they're just old IMHO....they haven't added anything to their roster, just detracted from it....but then again, I liked the Heat's future with Wade, Butler & Odom, & I was one of few who thought they shouldn't give them both up for Shaq....then again, they did get one title out of it....I just liked them pre-Shaq....then again, I liked the Lakers pre-Shaq too, but at least he was young back then....

They have memphis as next opponent.Pls at least win this.

I just have this strangest idea, almost everyone compares Kobe to Wade, what if, God forbid, a trade happens and Dwyane goes to the Lakers? I wonder how will Kobe and Wade team up.
Sun Oct 21, 2007 12:37 am
That hasn't even crossed my mind considering how the Lakers have no combination of players that would have the same value as Wade.
