As much as i like Kenyon Martin he is not nearly the player he used to be, i do not like the thought of him back in NJ. Nets should try and push for someone like Zach Randolph

Any big man who's upset with their current team usually is rumored to go to the Nets among other teams.

In most draft reports the Nets are drafting 2 centers, should be good for them.

Tim Thomas is also a free agent. The New Jersey native says he’s definitely not playing for the Nets because his wife “won’t allow it.” Thomas then told the Arizona Republic he’s not going to listen to any other teams until the Suns make their pitch, but added, “I’m not going to sit here and say I’m not going to make as much money as I can.”

2006/7
JK: $18M
VC: $15M
RJ: $11M

Seems like it would be tough to bring in K-Mart.

Tim Thomas would be cheaper...but if they really lowball him he'll probably just stick with Phoenix. I think it would take $8-10M to pull Tim Thomas away.

If they want a serious inside presence, they may have to trade RJ. RJ for Ben Wallace? (jk)

They're not trading RJ. They're very firm to sticking with their Big 4 core.
