Brandon Jennings & Brook Lopez >>>>>>>> Danilo Gallinari & Jordan Hill. Great job, Donnie Walsh.

New York Knicks to meet with Allen Iverson after former guard parts ways with Memphis GrizzliesCouldn't hurt. It might give AI the chance to get his career back on track and it'll only be a one year deal, so it needn't impact what the Knicks are hoping to do this offseason.

at 1-9, I don't think it can get any worst right now. Iverson energy and desire to win games is kind of needed now. Makes sense from a financial standpoint since his name will sell tickets.

...and his salary won't be a factor in the offseason. If I were the Knicks, I'd go for it. It would appear that there's interest on both sides.

AI and D'Antoni's sytem. My interest in watching Knicks games just went up. To also see the hilarity of AI and Nate playing at the same time and again to relive the disaster that was the AI-Hughes tandem.

Walsh is taking a pass on AI.

Guess he doesn't want to risk spoiling a good thing. If
this column has any merit however, then it might not be such a bad idea.

What good thing? The Knicks have that this season?
Sun Nov 22, 2009 8:57 am
That was firmly tongue-in-cheek. Meanwhile...
Sun Nov 22, 2009 9:26 am
The Knicks would make the playoffs if they played the Nets every night.
Sun Nov 22, 2009 10:16 am
They don't beat the Nets then they might as well fold..
EDIT: Hang on they already won! lol oops...

Quoting myself after the trade deadline? last season. Might as well mention
it while Hughes is still putting up decent numbers for now.

Indeed, Hughes is having his best season since 2004-05. Sign of things to come? Probably not.

Going to the game tonight vs. Portland.

Give us a recap of your adventures, no matter how excruciating it is to watch the Knicks play.

Seems like you picked a good game to go to.

Actually, it was the best they've looked so far. In the words of Walt "Clyde" Frazier, they played with "wit, grit and pep in their step", and actually showed something on defense. And who lit a fire under Larry Hughes' ass? Dude was strokin' it.
It was also Nate Robinson's fourth straight DNP, and I am SO glad. I'm tired of his me-first antics, and so is the coach. D'Antoni said Toney Douglas is more about getting others involved.

same here. kudos for Mr Pringles for benching him. for christ sakes the guy was chest bumping/showboating after making a basket when they were down 15 late in a game lol. i think he's a self promoting punk.

Yahoo! NBA wrote:Of course, no other team went after Robinson in the summer months when he was a restricted free agent so it seems doubtful there are any teams out there right now that strongly desire his services.
It wouldn't surprise me if Robinson rides out the season racking up DNP-CDs most of the time and heads off to Europe at the season's end.
Sat Dec 12, 2009 5:56 am
Robinson should be humbled so maybe he'll stop the tactics
he'll probably will be a cheap, low risk pickup in the offseason

What a cop out. Everybody knew that Jordan Hill sucked. He's the type of player you pick mid-to-late 1st Round if you're absolutely desperate for a capable big man.
Sat Dec 12, 2009 4:02 pm
I like Robinson, but I think he need to go to a team with a good veteran PG in front of him so he can learn the in and outs of the PG position. There is no doubt that the kid has potential. He brings a lot of energy to the floor, which one of my favorite team clearly lacks this year (Blazers). Right now its all about finding the right fit for him and putting him with a team that he can maximize his game with.
