Bulls/Mavs turned into an exciting one, despite some sloppiness. Rose may have had the shot of the night, but unfortunately for the Bulls, Hinrich had the undisputed biggest blunder of the evening.

Ty Lawson has improved his assist percentage, lowered his turnover percentage, up there with some of the best as far as ast/to ratio goes, and is 2nd in assist per game.

But he's in Denver.

I didn't catch the game but men, what was Hinrich doing during that play.

A week or two ago I kinda remember seeing article about Nuggets being in huge mess. I don't know if they sorted out their issues but iirc it looked like Brian Shaw was blamed by players for dysfunctional team coherence on the floor.

Faried was supposed to become a huge part of Nuggets going forward but the team is playing actually better now that he has taken a back seat. Interesting situation.

I had no idea that Afflalo spells his first name "Arron", and not "Aaron". Mind = blown. Not particularly sold on the team though. They have a decent roster, but Ty Lawson's their only all-star caliber player and a borderline one at that. Not to mention Shaw doesn't seem to know what he's doing. They should figure to finish in the 35-45 win range, not quite good enough to make the playoffs in the West, but too good to get a meaningful draft pick. Maybe the Sixers aren't so crazy...

I can only imagine that he was trying to foul to prevent the three point attempt, but that's way too risky when Ellis was close enough to put up an attempt and thus be in the act of shooting when the foul came. Given the situation, you live with the rushed, desperation three at the buzzer; you don't hand them the three points at the free throw line.

Faried is just an undersized hustle player like JJ Hickson. Both are very similar in what they bring.

Mavs win because of MONTA ELLIS GAME WINNER AT THE BUZZER but can't stop laughing at the missed travel call.

STILL MONTA ELLIS GOT IT ALL!!

Please deihatein, please. Calm down. If you are that excited by Monta Ellis, you will have a stroke hearing about tonight's Lowry. 39 points efficiently, 5 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, in a blow out victory.

Without Derozan, Kyle Lowry's usage challenges Korussell Westbryant.

Monta has developed into Dirk Nowitzki's sidekick quite nicely. The Mavs look gorgeous, even without Chandler Parsons' jumpshot showing up.

Parsons said he wants a playmaking role too because he's good at making others around him better.

Kinda like Nic Batum? It's weird how many similarities Mavs and Blazers have.

I could see that. Lamarcus considered himself a black Dirk Nowsushi at one time iirc.

The only difference is the Blazers have a stud at the PG position. Jameer Nelson/Devin Harris/JJ Barea/Raymond Felton are a good group regardless though.

I would say Tyson Chandler is one of the best centers in the league as well. People laughed at me when I said this in a year when the Mavs won it all. And then he was the best player while on the Knicks. His efficiency and bball IQ are remarkable. His positioning is good, sets good screens, doesn't make mistakes with the ball in his hands, etc, etc. That is what really separates him from other centers like Asik, & Lopez kind.

As much as I like Rondo, his shooting is concerning. He hasn't started to pick it up not even anywhere close to his career average. At this point, he's not helping the Celtics with his trade value.

Speaking of Celtics, what is this Ainge guy doing exactly? They are not going to get anywhere, wtf is their plan really. Unfortunately the current record has them in striking distance of playoffs which they will foolishly compete for, or maybe they will trade Rondo for another star in hopes of making the playoffs. They are the ones that should have followed 76ers' footsteps and rebuild. Give bigger roles to Young, Powell, Olynyk, and Smart. All the teams with functioning brains are doing the same thing (look at Lavine, KJ, Jabari, Wiggins, Exum, Hood, etc) Instead you see Evan Turner, Jeff Green, and Avery playing their ass off while Rondo tries his hardest to boost up his trade value. Well, this Ainge's vision is falling rapidly. His greed will come back to hit him hard. Not only he's gonna lose BIGger now on Rondo trade but this also will be a zero-progress season for the Celtics.

Congratulations, Sauru. Your team's fucked. At least Jeffx/Doobie will be laughing with their top 5 draft pick next season.

And who exactly is giving them a star for 4 months of Rondo? It's looking more and more like they'd be lucky to get a mid-1st round prospect, an expiring contract and a late-1st round pick in return. Even that might be generous, actually.

James Young definitely needs more minutes. I guarantee he could make an impact in the game. They shouldn't have drafted him and then re-signed Avery Bradley.

Re: Random NBA Discussion 2014-15 Season

Mon Dec 08, 2014 9:01 am

I like James Young too. But I think there's a good chance that he could turn out to be worse than Tim Hardaway Jr. defensively, or even worse than Hard on.

Shit, Rondo with triple double btw. Poor shooting again tho. Nonetheless a factor in a solid win against Wall led Wizards.

Lol hard-on indeed, NovU. But I guarantee you he will be a Tim Hardaway Jr equivalent if he gets his jumper fluid and handles tighter.

Jarrett Jack should be ashamed that he came up with those "I can't breathe" shirts for LeBron and the Cavs. I like the idea, but in comic sans? I know that's the official font of the team, but it doesn't send the right message.

Now Kobe and the Lakers are wearing comic sans shirts
