Re: The Knicks Thread....

I'm not really a diehard Knicks fan, not a big fan at all, but I must admit you're wrong.

Do you have Crawford and Randolph taking the team out of the first round ? If to the playoffs at all ? Is it safe to say that they guarantee you more than 40 wins ? No way. To win, you got to be more than good, if you're just good, which the Knicks are not, you're worth nothing. 2010 is a great time to have cap space, and with many (super)star players wanting to play in big markets, combining that with a 25mil a year contract, is something that you can rely on.

Yes I know. That´s why I said that I am not talking about cap space but just about this season and players I like and my 2K9 association.

Finally, we Knick fans can look forward to the future. I'll gladly take another two losing seasons if thats what its gonna take.

I love how Donnie didn't come in and start wheeling and dealing like Isiah did. He let the guys play and get their trade value up. Prior to the season starting I think most people saw David Lee as the only player any other team had interest in.

That and the fact hes not trying to trick anyone into believing this teams gonna win a title.. for another 2 years atleast. lol

Preaching to the choir, Stack. If you're a TRUE Knicks fan, you should be happy with what Walsh is doing. He did what management should have done years ago. No more of this rebuilding on-the-fly sh!t and signing players to bloated contracts in the hope of squeaking into the playoffs. That's not how you build a contender. Finally, we have folks in charge who think long-term.

I currently believe little Nate Robinson has one of the sickest crossovers in the game.

And by the way, Knicks that will probably be with the team come 2010. (Or atleast I hope.)

Nate Robinson
David Lee
WIlson Chandler
Chris Duhon
Danilo galinari
The knicks draft choices till then.

I know the Knicks will try to keep all 4 of those guys, and I don't know which current players will be under contract, I believe Jared Jeffries and Eddy Curry will also be.

Jeffries, Curry, Gallinari and Chandler are the only ones who contracts run through 2010, and Jeffries and Curry can opt out of theirs.

LeBron and Chris Bosh do not guarantee for a good team if the rest of the players are just roster fillers.
Just had a dream tonight that Patrick Ewing became father. I saw a little baby that looked like him. Maybe this was a vision...maybe a new Patrick Ewing will be born and lead the Knicks to new glory in ... 18 years. :)

I put the other guys on there because I'm assuming they are the only ones who are either still going to be there, or they will get an extention from Donnie.

Agreed, I was just noting the players whose contracts currently run through 2010 since you said you didn't know which ones would be under contract. I can't imagine they'd be keen to let Lee in particular just walk. The problem is, in re-signing Lee, Duhon and Robinson they'll lose a bit of that cap room they've cleared, so if they're going for LeBron and someone else (like Bosh), they might have to lower their standards on the "someone else".

They won't resign Duhon, he's just there for now....can see them holding onto Lee & Robinson, provided the price is right....I've got a feeling both will be re-upped, although more likely Lee....

I'm just keen to see what happens with Curry....

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Mon Nov 24, 2008 9:38 pm

Curry will appear in some ads on TV, in a campaign against excessive consumption of fast food. :)

Re: The Knicks Thread....

If Curry isn't dealt, perhaps he might take his chances and opt out this coming offseason. He's probably not going to get out of D'Antoni's doghouse anytime soon. If he opts out, so much the better for New York's foray into the 2010 free agency sweepstakes. If he's not going to opt out then moving him for an expiring contract would be in their best interests.

i guess clippers will trade some one soon, and it wouldn't be camby, it would be kaman or randolph, i guess it would be zack, cuz chris showed that he cab score too!

You being serious Diddy? Why would they trade Zack? They literally aquired him like 3 days ago. Makes no sense really.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:30 am

Knicks Interested In Carlos Boozer?

It might be a more realistic scenario than trying to sign LeBron and Chris Bosh come 2010, the only snag is finding someone to take on Curry's contract and give up expiring deals in return.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Holy sh.... Lee with 37 points and dozens of rebounds...Duhon with more than 20 assists. What a record night.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Sun Nov 30, 2008 4:09 pm

Dam....that's 6 losses in a row for us....
Al Harrington did better in one game with the Knicks than he ever did with the Warriors.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Sun Nov 30, 2008 4:31 pm

Lee was a beasticon today. 37 POINTS AND 21 BOARDS. That is out of this world.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

LeBron who?

Seriously, that looks like a triple-overtime scoreline.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Knicks dropped 82 in the first half... I was in shock when I saw the score. I thought it was like the end of the 3rd quarter or something.

Remember Sheed when he as traded to Atl, he played one game and then he landed in Detroit. It can happen

I didn't see the game but those numbers are the stuff of video games. Elsewhere, Dwight Howard had a 30-20 game as well; some crazy performances yesterday.

Hopefully, the Marbury mess will be straightened out today. Knicks management is just as much to blame as Stephon for letting it go this far. From what I hear, Dolan was against a buyout from the start.
