Are you kidding? He's averaging a triple double in the series.

I'm guessing Modifly was talking more about their attitude/demeanour, there's no denying Rondo's abilities and rising stock.

Rondo has been unstoppable, averaging almost double the season ppg. Rose and Rondo's rivalry is something look forward to even in the future. Basing on Rondo's performance so far in the series, the league wouldn't dare to suspend him for decisive game 7, unless the elbow had actually successfully UFC KOed him.

Absolutely. I dont question Rondo's improvement and his skills at all, him averaging a triple double is extremely impressive but his attitude and behaviour was what I was really taking about.

Rondo usually isn't the initiator, though. I think you are forming your opinion from two events that happened during the series, the foul on Brad Miller, and the Heinrich shove, which is a bit unfair to Rondo. What he did to Heinrich was a loss of temper and it was uncalled for, but the foul on Brad Miller was just a hard foul. If Rondo had wrapped him up from the torso preventing the bucket, rather than hitting him in the face, would that have made a difference other than being an obvious flagarant?

how in the hell is that a foul against Pierce?

Boston up 52-38 at the half. I know the Bulls have rallied before in the series including that eight point deficit late in Game 6 but it's looking like the proverbial "clock striking midnight" for Chicago right now. If not for the free throw attempts, they'd be down by even more.
Sun May 03, 2009 12:24 pm
Chicago's only down by 6. 8:40 left.

I have no idea what that double technical was about.
Nice pump fake, travel and 3 from Eddie House.

A disappointing end to one of the best series of all time. Can't wait for the Magic to destroy the Celtics though!

Good effort from CHI, but fell bit short. Who'd have thought this series was going to last this long before it began. Just amazing series. One of the memorable one. I hope Rose improve a lot next year and we'll get to see them again in the playoffs. Such an exciting team he led this season.
Sun May 03, 2009 1:12 pm
Of course they'll be back and do better next year. They would have probably had the fourth seed if they had their current roster all season.

was that an actual travel or not? the local station's replay had someones head in the way

I know I don't post much here, but as a Bulls fan, I better. I'm disappointed, but it was a good series. We had chances and missed them. There were a lot of times where we held them but didn't score. And, the Celtics killed us with the pick and roll.
I think next year, we have to figure out a way to use Deng with what we have going and we could be very good. I do wish Gordon was a couple inches taller.
Mr. JaoSming...your avatar and sig are seizure inducing. Good thing I took my meds.

third combo in a row ive gotten that comment
Sun May 03, 2009 2:50 pm
Meh, I was really expecting the Bulls to take this.
Sun May 03, 2009 3:02 pm
Needless to say I'm disappointed it didn't ultimately go the Bulls way but still a great series, way more competitive than I thought it would be and with only one blowout loss the Bulls certainly didn't embarrass themselves. If not for the bounce of a few balls - or more aptly some clutch play by Paul Pierce - the result could've been quite different.
Sun May 03, 2009 5:43 pm
Very disappointing result, although I could sort of see it coming after Game 6. I'm not really sure why, I just didnt see the Bulls taking this one out. I think the Bulls lost the game slightly more than the Celtics won it. Particularly during that second quarter when the Bulls couldn't even get shot attempts up because they were constantly turning the ball over.
It was an amazing series, another overtime game to finish it would have been fitting, but it wasn't to be.
Sun May 03, 2009 6:57 pm
I know what you mean, they were a couple of timely surges away from being done in six and winning Game 7 on the road was a tall order. Not impossible the way the series had gone but I also wondered how much they'd have left in the tank.

Oh yeah, the one embarrasing themselves was Boston.
Andrew wrote:If not for the bounce of a few balls - or more aptly some clutch play by Paul Pierce - the result could've been quite different.
Or the missed freethrows by Miller. Cant blame him really, all the pressure was on him at that time.
Orlando should be thankful for Chicago. They made Boston used almost all the gas they've got already.
Sun May 03, 2009 8:53 pm
That too, but if not for Pierce stepping up and making those shots towards the end of regulation the Celtics could've fallen short. Or even if Miller made the free throws, there was enough time for more heroics from Pierce. Can't dwell on these things of course, for now I can only hope the experience was valuable to the Bulls and that they'll make the right moves (or what turn out to be the right moves, anyway) heading into next season.
Sun May 03, 2009 9:35 pm
I think the experience of such a draining playoff series can only be helpful to the Bulls. They'll come back next year and hit the ground running.

I am only hoping for 2 things right now...
1. John Paxson resigns Gordon and doesn't do anything stupid like trading Rose...
2. For DH12 and the Magic to rape the Celtics

Wow, What A Series !!!

yea, i absolutely agree with ya...

I'm not a big Gordon fan (sorry Andrew)...I think he takes too many dumb shots and plays no defense. So...would you say losing his points would ruin this team? Or, could Salmons move in and Deng play SF and they would be ok?
Am I the only one thinking this? Am I crazy then?
